Leicester Rule! Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Hope it rules him out for the rest of the season.
Simi Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Hope it rules him out for the rest of the season. Wouldn't go that far...
Koke Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Hope it rules him out for the rest of the season. The lad deserves a lot more respect than that. One of our better players this season.
Matt Posted 21 March 2008 Author Posted 21 March 2008 TBH i'm thinking this is the only way he'd be left out the team, I don't think he'd be dropped through choice, He's a fans favourite and just for that fact he deserves to be in the team (Sarcastic). Hopefully whoever takes his place has a stormer and keeps that place in the team, I doubt it though, Whoever takes his place will probably have a stormer of a game and as soon as Humeys fit again he'll walk straight back in...thats the reality.
Simi Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I don't think he'd be dropped through choice You mean like he was on Saturday?

Matt Posted 21 March 2008 Author Posted 21 March 2008 You mean like he was on Saturday? Call my "unloyal", "not a true fan", blah blah blah, and I know we won last week and won well, but even though I listened to the game last week I really wasn't too bothered and didn't take too much notice, I forgot. I take the comment back then. Mind you doesn't that tell you something? That I can't notice whether he's playing or not, I couldn't have heard his name last week but it made no surprise! (Just before I get a load of shit and people having a pop at that comment it was tongue in cheek) I don't understand why people dislike Hume I don't dislike him but if he's not really performing (In or out of his disired posistion) why should he play?! Besides in your 1st reply in this thread you replied with "Hardly the biggest loss"
filbertway Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I don't understand why people dislike Hume I think people justhated the fact he was loved so much when he's not as good as he's made out to be, and fans going "huuume" whatever he does. The the hate gradually jsut transferred to HUUUUUME.

Koke Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I don't dislike him but if he's not really performing (In or out of his disired posistion) why should he play?! Besides in your 1st reply in this thread you replied with "Hardly the biggest loss" I think all City fans have unanimously agreed that Hume should either play up front or not play at all. He isn't the biggest loss, that is true, in fact no one in our current team is such a big loss that we can't cope without them.
Thracian Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 I don't understand why people dislike Hume It's strange in a way in that Hume stands top scorer for over a season yet is maligned by many yet someone like Fryatt who seriously underperforms for the same period continues to have a following. I wonder if judgements would be the same if their living depended on what players actually did. Had Hume remained a striker instead of being moved sideways to accommodate alternatives then I'm sure he would have had even more goals by now. Hume is a victim of his own enthusiasm. Because he has terrific energy and will chase lost causes for ever and because he's a determined harrier he's an easy alternative on the right where we seem to prefer capable workhorses to genuine wingers. Not that he gets much thanks for it. Because, bottom line, as a winger he's not likely to create much. Which is hardly surprising considering he's a striker. It's like asking a chef to be a waiter. And because of the way we use him I doubt he'll be missed at all.

(Just before I get a load of shit and people having a pop at that comment it was tongue in cheek) Don't get me wrong, Matt, I'm not getting at you and calling you. Just stating fact, I actually quite like you as a poster. I've been going on for weeks now that he should be dropped. Quite clear to me that he's been sulking a lot because he is being played out of position. If that's how he is going to be bollocks to him. At least he's getting played in the starting line up constantly. Players like Chambers and N Gotty have had to wait ages to break into the team and I've never seen them sulk when they've been played out of position. If he does get back in the side up front, I hope he takes it though.
Staf Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Leicester captain Stephen Clemence and left-back Jamie Clapham are back in contention after injury. On-loan goalkeeper Ben Alnwick has returned to Tottenham to receive treatment on his thigh injury. Hull City will be without Wayne Brown (calf) and Craig Fagan (knee ligament) but the duo are expected to be fit to face Watford on 29 March. Nicky Barmby is still absent after having an operation on his groin but should resume training next week. Never?
Simi Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 When is Alnwick back? Says on another thread that he's gone back to Spurs for treatment? Although this probably happened weeks ago and we just weren't told.

But instead, as Thracian mentioned, he's being moved sideways to accommodate someone else. Chambers and N'Gotty are different though. You expect creativity from a winger, but not from a DM or a RB. Its totally different scenarios - not that I agree with Hume sulking, but I do have some sympathy for him though.

Players have been in a certain place for years and like to stay there. As we know that doesn't happen. Hume had his chance to score and prove himself against Brizzle and failed.

Nah don't get me wrong when you made the post saying Hume was dropped last week I didn't think you were getting at me, I was just explaining and excusing why I forgot/didn't notice Hume playing last week, then I just thought when I made the comment "but even though I listened to the game last week I really wasn't too bothered and didn't take too much notice, I forgot. I take the comment back then." people would then start slagging me off.

He should be dropped, but when you're swapping positions left right and centre it affects your game.
