Flexx Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Takes 2 minutes max. You have to say your age is over 18 though.
Father Ted Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 You have to say your age is over 18 though. Yep, done it now!
Father Ted Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 BTW, this is widely considered the worst crash ever in motorsport.Read the comments or wiki for further info, it's not suitable for minors really - mainly due to the fact that if you look closely, you see the helmet role across the track (it still had the head in at that point) and there are other things as well http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tjXN1SC0UEw Bloody hell.

Father Ted Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Wasn't he resuscitated at the scene though? I don't think so...
Gené and Tonic Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Wasn't he resuscitated at the scene though? not Gordon Smiley He was killed instantly on impact. 200mph to 0mph in a millisecond
Father Ted Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Wasn't he resuscitated at the scene though? From Wiki While rushing to the car, I noticed small splotches of a peculiar gray substance marking a trail on the asphalt leading up to the driver. When I reached the car, I was shocked to see that Smiley's helmet was gone, along with the top of his skull. He had essentially been scalped by the debris fence. The material on the race track was most of his brain. His helmet, due to massive centrifugal force, was literally pulled from his head on impact...I rode to the care center with the body. On the way in I performed a cursory examination and realized that nearly every bone in his body was shattered. He had a gaping wound in his side that looked as if he had been attacked by a large shark. I had never seen such trauma." (Rapid Response, pp 98-99).
potter3 Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Wasn't he resuscitated at the scene though? No. But according to wikipedia his head wasn't in the helmet it had just came off at then he was scalped by the track fence...
Mark Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Sorry I'm at work haven't viewed the video, I was looking up the Gilles Villeneuve crash.
Father Ted Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Sorry I'm at work haven't viewed the video, I was looking up the Gilles Villeneuve crash. That's nasty aswell, he's flung into the metal fence I think a couple of drivers tried to rescusitate him.
FoxesFan100 Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Why the fcuk was the marshall running across the track? Twat.Shame the driver died though all because of one crazy idiot running across the track yeah but the lad who died was only about 18 years old, and following the guy who made it across. but yes i agree with you he was stupid i would never do that even if i was told to
The Stig Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Why the fcuk was the marshall running across the track? Twat.Shame the driver died though all because of one crazy idiot running across the track The man died show some fcuking respect. He died trying to protect the driver and doing his job.
The Reverend Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 The man died show some fcuking respect. He died trying to protect the driver and doing his job. As much as DB11 worded it wrongly (no change there then), would you run across a reasonably wide gap, with F1 cars hurtling straight towards you at like 200mph+ ? It was suicide. Simple as.

It was suicide. Simple as. Yes it wasn't a smart move but you have to be a bit more sensetive with these sort of issues. The poor chap's been tragically killed and he's going and swearing at him.
Bluefoxtim Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 The worst video I have ever seen is where some guy cuts off a pigs head with a chainsaw. What makes it worse was that the cameraman and the bloke with the chainsaw where laughing hysterically. DON'T search for this video. It is HORRIBLE...you have been warned
