Father Ted Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 You need some belief! We are not going down! CLOSE THREAD!
Kilworthfox Posted 30 March 2008 Author Posted 30 March 2008 You need some belief! We are not going down! CLOSE THREAD! I don't need any belief thanks. We are not going down. That is my point.
Moreton Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 You need some belief! We are not going down! CLOSE THREAD! Yeah im sick of people saying we are going down and we better prepare for life in League 1. WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN! End of. Full stop.
SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Yeah im sick of people saying we are going down and we better prepare for life in League 1. WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN! End of. Full stop. That is not the point of the thread. Kilworth was just trying to point out that we don't belong in League one. How you managed to think he was implying we were going down, I do not know.

SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 STOP WE HAVE FOUND THE BRAINCELL!Well done Sam Why thank you. I can see where you're coming from, we'd be out of place in League One. Our stadium, fan base and facilities are top notch compared to most clubs in the Championship, yet alone League One. Yet if we do get relegated it's our own fault, nobody else's. So we'll just have to live with it. However if we do get relegated, we have no divine right to be back in the Championship just because we might have a bigger fan base or stadium than somebody else.

I wasn't saying that Kilworth thought we were going down, i was just saying that im sick of other people moaning about us going to get relegated.

Moreton Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 It still hurts so much I cannot talk about it I do apologies Kilworth. I should have made myself much clearer.
DB11 Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 have a bigger fan base or stadium than somebody else. Than Leeds? I think not.
Maybes Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Than Leeds? I think not. True story. But generally the majority of those clubs.
Kilworthfox Posted 30 March 2008 Author Posted 30 March 2008 Than Leeds? I think not. He was not suggesting that we did.
SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Than Leeds? I think not. If you read what I said properly you'd realize I didn't say everybody, I said somebody else which implies any particular team in League One. But yes, Elland Road is considerably bigger than the Walkers.

SamL Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 He was not suggesting that we did. Got there ahead of me. As I said, I wasn't implying that we had a bigger stadium than every club in League One, just the majority.

However a lot of those clubs were probably saying the same thing before they went down as a lot of those have been in the equivalent of the Championship over the last 20 years.

I'm sure some would say stop living in the past. I can see your point but when you compare us to League One, we just don't fit in.

We are bigger than all but Leeds. F*rest have won more trophies I admit, but their fans and stadia compared to ours are not as good IMO
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Add Bristol Rovers to that list, it was them drawing with West Brom that kept us from the drop in 1991.

filbertway Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 League one... cheaper tickets ( I assume) and new dirty old grounds to visit.
