Ozwin Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 I've decided that I want to review some films in my own way, not in a long winded way or anthing but really nice and simple for people who want an honest opinion about upcoming and old films which they may have missed the first time. I'm not doing it to compete with IMDB or anything but I'd like to have it to call my own and say that I own it. I don't think that's too much to ask So yeah, any ideas for names? That aren't too generic and boring like every other website about film you see? I'm never any good at stuff like this and usually just mix two ideas together to form something. And if you fancy reviewing films, or have done in the past get in touch with me at [email protected] or on here and we can talk about a reviewing system which suits everyone. I'd really like to get a few people on board and see how it takes off. Thanks a lot.
DB11 Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 An unusual name for a movie review site would be something like... PC Reviews.com
Ozwin Posted 7 April 2008 Author Posted 7 April 2008 I was thinking 'Second Opinion' but that seems a bit like a medical term so I'm not so sure anymore.

Daggers Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 An unusual name for a movie review site would be something like... PC Reviews.com I really wish more of your posts were like this
Ozwin Posted 7 April 2008 Author Posted 7 April 2008 I don't know. Like if you go for a checkup and they say something like "Hmm it looks like Chicken Pox but come back later for a second opinion" >_> Maybe it's just me. Still, I don't think it's the best name I can come up with.
StroudFox Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 Here are some crap ones because I am useless at thinkng of stuff like this. Don't really know why I am bothering to post them!! a) (movie) Reviews R us b) We luv movies See told you they were crap!
Zingari Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 How about something like PIC-A-SECOND ( from the word picasecond ) or something with the phrase DEJA-VU ( meaning seen before); sorry best i can think of
Ozwin Posted 7 April 2008 Author Posted 7 April 2008 I really like Deja Vu actually. Quite clever. That's going to be top of my list for now. Thanks.

Fox You Forest Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 Flicks, pics and kicks. It's rubbish but it's better than the one above. Its a good job you posted i forgot all about the daily quiz until i saw your name
imagine that Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 If you want your site to do well, your better off having something like the word film in your website name. This makes it so people searching on search engines for film reviews come across your website before another that maybe called 'Second Opinion' (Great name but just giving a differant prospective ). The name also has to tell people who are visiting your site what the site is about. It's ok for established sites to have these weirder names, e.g google, as we all know what it's for. But for newer sites the name needs to tell the user what the site is about. Hope this helps you in choosing a name.
James. Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 I really like Deja Vu actually. Quite clever. That's going to be top of my list for now. Thanks. Deja Re-Vu? Like the chap above says though you should probably have the word "films" in there somewhere...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 Why not just go for the classic Pen Island? www.penisland.com. Vintage, vintage.
Ozwin Posted 7 April 2008 Author Posted 7 April 2008 Deja Re-Vu?Like the chap above says though you should probably have the word "films" in there somewhere... I like, I like! If I include film it'll sound well boring though. I doubt it'll become big or anything, just a little hobbie that me and a few friends can write for. We have a love for films so it'd be a nice thing to call my own. Nothing too fancy is needed I just want it to look and sound half decent.

General Smuts Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 Gotta take sumink from your favourite film like a quote or sumink and incorporate it in. Such as doyoufeelluckypunk.com or youvesucked37dicks.com
