The Stig Posted 7 April 2008 Posted 7 April 2008 In my opinion if we stay up, Ian Holloway should keep his job in my opinion. He hasn't done a great job this year, but he has built a considerably better squad. As I'm sure everyone realises, he's just not got any consistancy or confidence out of them. Part of me worries that this might continue next year, but I don't think you can presume that and for me IF we stay up he should be the man for next season. However, if we are relegated, what are people's thoughts on Holloway. Should he be instantly sacked? Or should we go for the stability option and hope he can bring us straight back up to The Championship? Personally, I think Ollie has built a squad which has easily enough quality in it to stay up and threre for if we go down I wouldn't be confident enough in Ollie's abilities to get the best out of a group of players to keep him in charge. What are people's thoughts on this?

But, I'm just worried that as soon as we hit a low point, the negativeity around the club would return and Holloway wouldn't be able to lift us out of it. I'd love Ian Holloway to make a success of this club, and if we stay up I beleive he can, I'm just worried that if we go down, he won't be able to bring us back up. But lots of people have siad yes to the question, so convince me. I hope I change my mind on this one.

The issue is what got us to the position where we are even discussing this at this stage of the season. Holloway asked us to judge him when he had brought his own players in, so I kept my gob shut and waited. What did he do, bought players who he doesn't play, bought crap players he does play, ignores some half decent youngsters, fails to get anything remotely like consistency out of the team and makes embarrassing comments at every opportunity. So, now he's had his chance and the judgement must be that he's no better than any of the other clowns who've had the helm over recent years. No point sacking him at this late stage (which is surely the only reason he's still in the job) - but stay up or go down he should get his P45, and I'm sure he will. I hate the man, but there's no way Neil Warnock would have our club in a relegation scrap. He may be a prat, lust like Holloway, but he's an intelligent prat with a track record. I know I'll get flamed for saying it, but he would've done a better job....who wouldn't though? The problem now is that we're such a joke, and MM goes through managers like bog roll, that no one decent would want the job. That was the case at the beginning of the season, but it double bad now. The only silver linings I can see is that Derby are the worst team ever to play in thetop flight, and Megson fooked up too.

His record is just abysmal, how anyone can say he should be in charge is Worser than Kellys, worser than Leveins, worser than Burrows/Taggs, worser than Allen, worser than Megson etc etc. League under Holloway: Played 27 Won 8 Lost 13 Drawn 6 Win percentage: 29.63% which is fooking shit, especially from that many games. He has had time, how much time does he fooking need, for me 10 games is enough time to get things right. He has spent millions, spent thousands on loan players and yet we still haven't won 2 games in a row. Ollie has to go, it's so obvious to me. Who we get in after Ollie, i haven't got a clue.

Juxtaposition happens to be one of my favourite words, along with obverse and smegma. Fool.
