Geo V Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 I havn't given up on Leicester, I am still going to be behind them this Saturday up until Stoke. If we stay up, it will be great however my confidence in them has greatly decreased since last saturday. But, it is Leicester and we will probably draw against Wednesday and Barnsley but probably beat Stoke. Lets hope so as that should be enough to keep us up as I cant see Cov getting more than 4 points.
KirbyFox Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 Sorry to change subject but i'm new to this forum. I went to my first Game of the season on saturday (Colechester) and i don't know if its been the same all season but the atmosphere is dead before a game. I think the reason for this is that there is no build up to the game when i used to regulary i used to get goose bumps. there is know music that gets you going now before a game used to be the best bit about going having that feeling just before the players ran out this used to get the rans going. think we should put some suggestions forward for next season to make the walkers a fortress. please tell me if i'm wrong, but lets get some music to raise the roof next season all be it in division 1
Simon Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 I really think this is going to go down to the wire. Sheffield Wednesday have a massive match against Blackpool. A win for Blackpool will probably take them out of it, but a win for Wednesday would leave us right in the shite, especially if Coventry and Southampton get results too. Sad thing is I have a bad feeling we'll only get a point from Barnsley meaning the home game against Sheffield Wednesday will be (and I know everyone keeps saying it, but it really will be) a MUST win!
breadandcheese Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 From BBC: Leicester manager Ian Holloway says he picked his team before City's reserves beat West Brom 3-0 on Wednesday: "They were probably playing for places on the bench in fairness. "I have already told my players what the team is, we have already started working on that." "It is nice to be able to do that, I started working on it when I saw what Barnsley did against Hull on Tuesday. "I have looked at their weaknesses. I sat there and tried to study them and I think we have got the players that it will suit us to play them if they can be top of their game which they are going to need to be "We've got a plan and I'm going to go there totally determined to follow it."

Durnerz Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 Does that mean he will stick to the plan even if it isnt working? Probably, either that or he'll stick Hayles from the wing up to striker if we're a goal down.
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 Probably, either that or he'll stick Hayles from the wing up to striker if we're a goal down. We need to go there with a totally professional, clinical, awe-inspiring performance. We should expect one. We require one. It is the least some of these players ought to show. Passion, commitment, never say quit attitude. Go there and put one over on 'em. Take it to 'em. Get stuck in! COME ON!!!

SantiagoFox Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ! If you can be arsed to go tomorrow, give some real VOCAL support! It's not difficult ! As many of you moaners have pointed out over the years...it's not difficult to shout for the team ; they've said this in a condescending manner as they'd rather keep quiet and think they somehow occupy the moral highground by sitting still and quietly moaning about the team and the fans trying to generate some atmosphere. But, CAN WE ALL JOIN TOGETHER AND MAKE SOME NOISE !!!!!! COME ON !!!

FilboFox Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 :scarf: COME ON LEICESTER!!!!! :scarf: I just started thinking about the Barnsley match tonight and suddenly realised, I'm really, REALLY nervous. I mean, I think about the upcoming games all the time and think "Come on Leicester, lets do it!" but I never get nervous... it just shows how this game is HUGE! Yes, the Sheffield Wednesday game is massive as well but I think that this one could decide our futures more significantly as lose, and we could be cast adrift falling even more significantly away from the teams around us BUT WIN and we could be out of the relegation zone and a couple of points clear of the 3rd bottom team which could be Coventry, and as they are not likely to get many more points, it would be really good... THIS game is the important one, THIS game could be the maker or breaker of our survival hopes, THIS game is the one we need to win! :scarf: COME ON LEICESTER!!!!! :scarf: I bloody hope we win... I don't think I'll be able to stand the pressure at the Walkers if we have to play Sheffield Wednesday having to get a win to realistically keep hopes of staying up alive... Sod all this "Keep the faith" and "One team, One dream" stuff... its now down to the nitty gritty and the players, manager, backroom staff and fans need push hard to keep this club up as next year cause I feel that if we can get through this season, it'll be a steady progression back up as this is the lowest point and if we get through this, it'll steadily get better. :scarf: COME ON LEICESTER!!!!! :scarf:
Scow Posted 18 April 2008 Posted 18 April 2008 If you look back at last season we got the results to secure our safety from games away from home - Preston and Barnsley. (Ok, we would have survived anyway on Rob Kelly's points total, but we weren't to know that.) I wasn't at those games last season, but by all accounts, the support played an integral part in achieving those results. Might not be such a bad thing having the last two games away from home, even if one of them is against that total footballing side in Stoke.
