It doesn't for Years 7, 12 and 13 at our college. Wankers. But they're not allowed to send in cover teachers so it'll be a free day anyway.

Little c*nts in Year 10 and 11 do get a day off but we are doubtful of getting a day off. Common Room will be in a uproar tomorrow i feel.

I left school some years ago, and was fortunate to come across some excellent teachers, two of whom in particular I will never forget for the positive that they had on me. Of course there are exceptions, but a lot of very special people do that job. I wouldn't want an unhappy, underpaid surgeon to operate on me, and equally would dislike unhappy, underpaid teachers to be trusted with the future of the education of the future of this country.

Trade Unions will only really take any action if it's a popular vote, so obviously it's not just the odd teacher, therefore their pay packages must be something short of acceptable, what with a considerable amount of teachers agreeing to a strike.

You're correct, but it doesn't mean that those who are under contract shouldn't be paid more. I think wages across the board in this country are piss poor.
