Koke Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I need to take it slow My heart is growing cold I'm trying to hide my feelings From the people that I know And I can say this right The struggle and the fight It's weakening all the muscles in my body like kryptonite Making me feel like there is no other way (than League One)
Thracian Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Err Syrup of Figs usually does the trick Is that what Holloway's been drinking?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I feel today like I've split up with a girl I really liked at one point but things had just become sour. Before Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday I was well up for each match. Next Sunday I know I will just be full of gut-wrenching nerves and I won't enjoy it unless and until we are safe... if...
filbertboy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I'll be there with you Lisa. I will come along and introduce myself to both of you and stand with you through thick and thin.
Tevez Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Looks like the players wernt that depressed, they was all out tonight up Lough. About this, there was a fair few of them!! Bit shit how they were all out on the piss after a big loss!
syston_fox Posted 27 April 2008 Author Posted 27 April 2008 About this, there was a fair few of them!! Bit shit how they were all out on the piss after a big loss! I wouldnt mind so much them having a drink but its the fact they were clearly enjoying themselves thats hard to bare. I was at home feeling like crap and not wanting to go out or anything!! Reading that the players were enjoying themselves and seeing pics of them with big grins on their faces at the player of the year thing has made me realise that I dont actually care about any of them. In fact, I woke up this morning feeling down but as the days gone on, I realised I just cant be bothered with it at the moment! The nerves will be back for tomorrow night but its out our hands now so until we control our own destiny again, I wont be getting my hopes up.
Scow Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 It was a gutless performance and it provoked immense anger in me. What pissed me off even more was the no show after the final whistle - cowards. We lost against a team that hadn't won in 8 games - another mediocre team that typifies the Championship. We were given a lifeline last week and it's gutting that we've thrown it away after all that hard work. To hear the players were out and about last night having fun shows you how much they care about the club.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of their agents have already sorted out moves for next season. It happened the last time we were relegated.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Quite. I wouldn't be surprised if many of their agents have already sorted out moves for next season. It happened the last time we were relegated. They are a disgrace. Out of yesterdays shambles I'd keep only a handful of them for next season. I feel for the manager, I really do. What can he do? They are a joke the job lot. Keep Stearman, Hume, Hendo, Kisnorbo, Bell. The rest can bugger off.
MC Prussian Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 You know what, I think a good few thousand should have gone back to the stadium and started venting our anger at them outside the ground.I think a good angry mob, peaceful though they may be, singing angry chants up to where the players (if thats what they can call themselves) would have shown those tossers what a fooking joke they really are and maybe make them think twice in the future about playing with such little effort again! That's a common thing in Germany, as far as I know. They often block the players' cars and buses or start talking to them when the players are on the way out of the stadium. All on a peaceful level, mind you. But I guess this will remain a rare sight in England. You lot are just so nice, respectful and patient.
Guest Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Quite. I wouldn't be surprised if many of their agents have already sorted out moves for next season. It happened the last time we were relegated. It would also explain why they don't appear to give a crap about poor results, and the fact that they had to be told to applaud the travelling support earlier this season, well.....

You know what Lise, why don't we all take the players attitudes and not care, have a laugh and a joke about it? I was getting so much stick at college today, I tried to laugh it off but it was so hard.

It's not about winding down after a bad day at the office, this is a blatant not giving a stuff what anyone thinks. I wish I couldn't give a stuff. I still well up every time anyone mentions the footy. Even the Cov fans at work feel sorry for me.
