Ashley Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 No, we will be paying him £8k a week to sit on his arse

davieG Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I don't think playing Stearman at Centre back is the way to go. The man likes to go forward. Worley is inexperienced and at such a crucial game I wouldn't risk playing him. He likes to go forward because that's what fullbacks do, if you're going to judge him do it on his ability not how he plays tactically in a completely different position.
davieG Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Horrible thing to happen to any football, all the best Patrick I hope you have a quick and successful recovery whether you play again for us or not.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 give worley a chance - either way we are going to lose, might aswell see what he is about eh? From waht Thracian said he looked nowhere near ready in the reserve match against Shrewsbury. Back on topic it could be a blessing in disguise because i cant see anybody wanting to buy him now for next season anyway. For people to say they wouldnt care if he didnt play for us again is a joke.
Uncle Albert Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Surely he will be here until next January? He wont be able to pass a medical at another club will he? In ways I hope this injury is 5 months.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Stearman at centre back for the Stoke game would be a joke. He's not strong enough to deal with the kind of power they have up front. Fuller's not slow either which makes me fear us playing N'Gotty. Kisnorbo would've been our most suitable centre back for this type of opponent in my opinion so it's a shame we'll be without him.

So it's hobson's choice then, it's just a case of personal preference.
Tubes Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Could mean he will still be here next season Get Worley in give the lad a chance.
Fatbloke Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 No, we will be paying him £8k a week to sit on his arse Good job your avatar is a clown, it certainly suits you, first you give us your deluded opinion that PK is over rated then make some comical and unfounded guess as to what he earns !
lavrentis Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 That's bad news, even worse when we have slow Bruno to replace him.
DB11 Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I know it sounds bad but at least he won't go in the summer
Legend_in_blue Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 It was a nasty one. Reminded me of the Kaamark injury. We'll miss him.
the beange Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Not good at all. Big blow just adds to the depression of the situation were in!
Head Honcho Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Games he's played this season: Won 10 Drawn 12 Lost 15 We've won 10 games all season with him in the side but more importantly we have not won 27. Not good enough imo. It's not all his fault obviously but stats like that tell me he won't be missed.

We would miss him more than most of the other players.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 What a ridiculous thing to bring up. That stats show we've been consistently terrible no matter who plays. Of course we'll miss him. Bruno N'Gotty showed on saturday how age has finally caught up on him, Worley isn't ready yet from his reserve showings and most people refuse to believe Stearman would be any good there. Without Kisnorbo alongside him, McAuley has shown why he's spent most of his footballing life in League 2 and in Northern Ireland.
Head Honcho Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 I think we will miss him, we are hardly getting thrashed in every defeat. We would miss him more than most of the other players. 1-0 or 4-0 still equate to a defeat. I'd rather see us try and at least win a match then have Kisnorbo being a bit tight at the back but bringing nothing else to the game.

What do you suggest, play no defenders at all. I'd like to see where you think our other defenders bring something other to the game than being good defensively. And if anyone says Bruno N'Gotty has good ****ing distribution I'll strangle someone, the guy's had a very good career but his legs have gone, he can't cut it anymore.

Well if you're happy to have a defender playing for you that has lost nearly half the games he's played in this season then no wonder we're in the shite!

But it's not Kisnorbo's fault we can't score. He does his bit, it's up to the midfield and strikers to do theirs.

We have no other option, we've not got a feeder team of defenders winning games all season that can step in He's the best of a bad bunch. I would be very surprised if you could bring up a better stats for other central defenders in this squad over the season, therefore this discussion would be made redundant.

My point is that I for one won't be sorry if Kisnorbo never plays for us again-not once have I said there are better defenders then him in the squad. We need better defenders at the club and another season with Kisnorbo at the centre of our defence will mean what exactly?
