Samilktray Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Am I the only one who thinks pretending to support Sheffield United is getting irritating now?Yes I want them to win on Sunday but only to save our arses, I couldnt give a **** if they make the Play Offs or not. I agree that changing the Foxestalk logo to Bladestalk was amusing, even the threads about our 'new' team to begin with but seriously... move on Ignore them then. Think its pretty funny though still.

I agree that changing the Foxestalk logo to Bladestalk was amusing, even the threads about our 'new' team to begin with but seriously... move on I think you massively miss the point. This weekend, if we're honest, it's highly likely that our future is in the hands of those dirty Yorkshiremen. We're not "pretending" to support Sheff Yoo, we really, really, really, DESPERATELY want them to win.
Ashley Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 All this talk of Sheffield United We got our selfs into this mess its up to us to get our selfs out of it. Yes it would be good if Sheffield United gave us a hand in beating Southampton but we carnt hope that other teams win and other results go our way. We need to go to Stoke on sunday and win.
saint lard Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Perhaps you guys should be concentrating on what your'e side should be doing to win at Stoke, not becoming obsessed with Sheff UTD beating us. Whatever happens, the team that drops down deserves to, i freely admit we have been atrocious this campaign. What with the numpty Burley and all the boardroom bollox it been extremely depressing, but we are concentrating on getting behind the side and getting a full house at SMS. You can't do much about the games/results elsewhere but you can pull together in getting behind YOUR'E TEAM. Ok of course Saints fans will be eager to know what's going on elsewhere, but what happens in our game takes precedent, surley the same should be for you. Anyway try and enjoy Sunday...it's what footies about........ Prediction....you will get a point...we will get three....
lildave3 Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 I spent alot of time and effort on my new avetar thoughWell clearly i didnt but still

You'd find it difficult to have faith in a shite team that rolled over in the most important game of the season in front of 31,000 fans last week, especially considering we're playing against a team gunning for promotion away from home. I know it's desperate but we honestly belive our best chance is Sheff Utd beating the Saints.

lavrentis Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Didn't you go away from home and beat WBA...by some margin? yes we won 4-1. As you say, you think you will get 3 points, we get 1. What about Wednesday then?
reynard Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 Didn't you go away from home and beat WBA...by some margin? Yeah but the sides we have beaten well this season on the whole were coventry or only had 10 men! Otherwise it has been scrappy lucky 1-0s. We even managed to lose to you twice this season.
saint lard Posted 1 May 2008 Posted 1 May 2008 yes we won 4-1. As you say, you think you will get 3 points, we get 1. What about Wednesday then? I believe Weds will win,Coventry will lose. Am i right in thinking that the Ipswich v Hull game could have a bearing on where Stoke finish the season,if Hull are beating Ipswich fairly comfortably at half time perhaps Stoke might take there foot of the gas...all if's and buts though my friend.

Suppose the majority have spoken though and I'll just have to concede
Scow Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Let's hope Southampton don't punish us for the fourth time this season.

Hiya mate, I think its just that leicester always seem to let its fans down when it matters and we have no faith in winning at stoke because our players are CLEARLY not giving 100%. You must be in a similar state surely as you are below us in the league! Im surprised burley has not done better for you as he has a good record elsewhere.
sainthuddy Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 1) Sheffield United are not a 1 man team.2) If Beattie was playing he would definitely want to score against you. 3) United have the playoffs to play for. They will be trying to win. 4) You're going down don't think so!!
saint lard Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Mandaric won't be able to court the media so much from Div 1,what a shame, youv'e got what you deserve. Well done Saints,so much for the mighty Blades. Great atmosphere at a sold out St Mary's,well done the fans also, never gave up.

He still has a property in Southampton and often comes down here to visit friends and attend charity events, I very much doubt he'd want to score against us. He did so for Everton when we were in the Prem and he didn't celebrate at all. He was worshipped here and I guess he has a lot of fond memories. So I'm really chuffed he didn't play, but even without him Sheff Utd were a bloody good team, they really went for it even in the last few minutes - they really pilled on the pressure. We were simply better than them on the day.

Congratulations on staying up.
