Our plight seems to be a talking point!

I can handle Forest or Saints or Scum taking the mick, but when Bristol City or Plymouth fans start ripping us into shreds is when you really realize how much we have fallen/

10 years ago today, we drew 2-2 with Villa in the Premiership, whereas these dotted clubs in England where playing their trade in the 4th tier of English football..

Just goes to show how we have improved and you have gone backwards

Bristol City fans are probably embarrased about being outplayed for 180 minutes by a team that is rapidly heading for relegation. That's the reason they don't want to play us.

our team is shite but our club is good. I couldn't care what those inbred yokels think because to be honest they are way off our radar in terms of club reputation and support...and to be honest i don't think their team is good enough to be in the top half of the championship, let alone the premiership. we without doubt deserve to go down this season, but if we do then we shall return to better times. i am sure of that.

enjoy your time in the limelight bristol; you'll be telling your kids about it for years.

Who cares. They'd be in the relegation zone if it wasn't for Gary Johnson...Bristol are just a mediocre small club playing way above their standing.

Some may say like us under MON?! :dunno::whistle:

IF we never had MON, would as many people be saying "We should be beating teams like...", "We're a big club", "We're too big to go down", e.t.c?

Just another argument to throw in :dunno:

I don't think there would be as many if we hadn't had the MON years, but let's not forget we've had good years before him and alright not so many after him as yet but I'm sure the good times will eventually return to city.

I don't think we're too big to go down, just look at Leeds and Forest, but Martin O'Neill didn't build this club from nothing with his bare hands. Yeah, he was an exceptional manager but we had been in the first divison of English football for periods before him. We were already a much bigger club than Bristol in terms of fanbase, history, trophies before MON.

Come on this is nothing short of bitterness, we're doing well and our fan base really isn't that bad as we sell out most allocations this season with ease..... also we pick up results when we needed to which is why we are guranteed a play off spot which we deserve thanks to a geet season where no1 has done the double over us..... Size doesn't matter its what you do on the pitch not how big you're club was/is....?

Some of the bitterness in this thread is ridiculous.

Even though all my mates are Rovers and I go and watch them a few times a season, I'd quite like City to go up. They remind me quite a lot of us under MON. Not a lot of resources but good team spirit, work hard and got some dedicated supporters creating a good atmosphere in a proper football ground.

They were some ****s in that thread on their forum but lets be honest, people always get pleasure from seeing a 'big' club get relegated to a league they think they're too good for. I'm sure a lot of you were the same with Leeds, Wednesday, Forest, Man City etc.

I wasn't pleased that Man City were relegated, or Sheffield Wednesday. I've got nothing against those clubs. Leeds I was pleased because of Dennis Wise, and Forest for obvious reasons.

You are always out sung and out played by us.

Er. About four pages too late, but I presume this guy didn't go to either of the Leicester - Brizzle games this year?

isn't bristol the heroin captital of britain

Considering there position at the time, they were the worst fans to visit this season.

Apart from the knobs who arrived in a van i saw near the walkers playing "i am a cider drinker" i wouldnt have even noticed that they were there.

From the Red Half of Bristol, and at last, have found this thread!

Now then, my perspective is this. I have nothing vs Leicester as a club, indeed admired the way you punched above your weight under O'Neill rather like Bolton udner Big Sam I always like to see an underdog do well.

However, the fact of the matter is, you are managed by Ian Holloway, "The Skeletor, Hollowhead etc."

In short, he managed Bristol Rovers and played for them for years as well.

An equivelant I suppose could be clubs managed by say a former well known Derby or Forest manager, because that's how intense our rivalry with Rovers is.

Hope that clears a few things up.

And again, commiserations.

Lastly, why on earth did you appoint him, what the hell possessed you!?! On the other hand, Megson, who was not so popular with you lot, kept Bolton up from a poor poor position (below Derby, 1 win and 5 pts from 10) and delivered their best run in Europe ever! Truly, The Ginger Mourinho!

well im working in Bristol now and they would hardly win city of the year award the place is a shit whole ooooh arrrrr. Dont even think they know what sky tv is here so i might not be able to watch football tonight lol

does that make you feel better trying to run down bristol people and what they have achieved?

this is why you fail - you have a bizarre superiority complex

the last laff is on them

from a bristol city hater!!!

you people havent been in the real world - "we are a big club" whats been big about your season - you have had the money and a choice of manager -

time for a hard long look at yourselves
