Stephen Clemence : Ah well, we're down, we'll sort it out

Much like Paul Dickov pledged his future a while back.

That pissed me off, but if I was doing a post season lap around the pitch and the Birch asked me if I was staying, I doubt I'd tell him and all of the fans 'oh actually, I'm ****ing off cos I don't fancy relegation'.

It's not hard to say he'll help us out when he's on good wages.

He's massively underachieved this season, and though he's a good player, at this moment in time I couldn't give a shit if he and others go.

Mate, your display picture is highly minging!

I'm a bit shocked at your reaction to Clem. Obviously you watch him week in, week out, but as a Birmingham fan, I have not seen a player like Clem for a while. Full of commitment, passion with an ability to defend and make things happen going forward. If offered the chance to have him back next season, I would say yes, as he is the perfect player and man to lead us in a promotion campaign from the Championship (in my opinion, we should've kept him for the Premiership this season). If Leicester are lucky enough to keep him, I have no doubt he will be a centeral figure in your side next season.

You got a different player. You got Stephen Clemence the inspirational, gritty, committed captain whereas we got Stepehen Clemence, the injury-prone, inconsistent, uninspiring captain.

Well he was a key part of the team that has led us to relegation to Division 3.

When you consider we also had N'Gotty and DJ Campbell as well as Howard & Oakley for a good part of the seasons - that's 5 players that were part of Championship promotion teams last year. These have been some of the worst performing players at the club.

This is also a contributing factor, for some towards Holloway's continued support in that it was the players that let the club down.

Players / Manager :dunno: A bit chicken and egg in my view.

How have Big Bruno and DJ Campbell done at Leicester? Both were popular at Blues.

Two of the worst players this season. Campbell has scored about three goals. N'Gotty is a total liability - slow, lazy, unbelievably weak given his stature.

****ing dreadful.

Bruno is a lumbering, slow and uncoordinated player with piss-poor distribution whereas Campbell was a con. I refuse to believe that DJ Campbell has ever played football before coming here, he offered nothing - can't shoot, can't link play, can't stay onside!

Blues must be still laughing all the way to the bank for those three.

Atrocious business by Allen.

Milan's spent £10M this year apparently. £2.3M of that was Campbell, plus any signing on fees. So it works out at about £900K per goal he's scored for us. Clemence has never been seen face on by anyone in the family stand or Kop end because he's always moving sideways. If you'd paid us to take N'Gotty it would've been a rip off. Added to what Bob said, he couldn't trap a wet bag of sand and has the turning circle of an arthritic African elephant. Apart from that, they were all great

Whilst McFadden & Zani...Zatti...the Argie bloke look useful, I can't help but think they'd be an absolute pile of shite should we ever buy them from you.

lol lol :crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh: You mean the Clem that can't pass a ball, can't defend, can't attack, can't captain and is preety much useless!!!! He would only get you relegated! Bruno is one of my favourite players and I really think he is great but he's getting a bit old now and Campbell blows too hot and cold, sometimes he can be on top form, the next he can hardly scrape a place on the bench.

£1.6m. Can't imagine the other £500k of conditional payments stood a chance of being paid.

In fairness, Campbell hasn't been dreadful, he's just been poor. He's had a couple of good games but generally hasn't been anything but mediocre. Clemence however, was cack.

If we take the £1.6M figure - that's £400,000 per league goal.

Four league goals all season, if that isn't dreadful for a striker then I am pushed to think what the hell else he could have not done to earn the epithet.

Shockingly bad.

Still 3rd top scorer with as many as Hayles and Fryatt combined. :(

Utter rip off of a price and I've only seen him have one good game, but to me Campbell never stood out as being utterly dreadful, he just didn't do anything at all. I'm not claiming he was in any way okay, just slightly less of a disgrace than some of the other players.

Campbell is very much one of these players who needs a run of games though. A bit like Fryatt, he's spent half the season injured and then when he got fit, Ollie already had Barry Hayles here. After that he was never going to get up to full fitness, or get any sort of confidence which all strikers need. DJ is more a waste of money than being especially crap. Quite honestly, if we play any combo of Fryatt/Hume/Campbell/Gradel next season, they'll bag a hatful.

Yes, quote me on that in May next year :D

Clem was our Player of the Season last year. He was perhaps a bit sidewards in his passing at times, however it is my opinion that without him we would've got nowhere near promotion last year. He was the heartbeat of our team.

Bruno, although slow, when called upon always did a job for the team. Plus he quite possibly scored the best goal I've ever seen a right-back score in out 5-1 win at Newcastle. All-in-all, a solid defender.

DJ lacks technical ability, but was popular because of his enthusiasm, energy and the fact that if he got the ball in the right area, he would score. He reminds me of a poor man's Ian Wright.

He reminds me of a poverty-stricken Ian Wright. Campbell has looked good on occasions, Norwich and Bristol City at home spring to mind, but that is not good enough. Plus he has far too many tattoos for my liking.
