This competition is an insult to us it is so embarrising to be in i hope we are away in every round because if we are at home the attendance will be shocking

It's not an insult to us- we deserve it.

We were shit enough to get ourselves into this league and this is what we've got for it.

Look, we got what we deserved. We are embarrasing. We have no divine right not to take part in it because we are "too big", we are where we are through our own incompetence alone, nothing else.

What a shit story.

fooking JPT.

Could give us wembley visit at least though.

No chance! a good team will win it, and we're not a good team - a fact no one can argue with

Thats what I was thinking before and it just made me even more depressed... a club like Leicester fighting for the Johnston Paint Trophy...

They can call the trophy what they like - it's something to go out and win. Win it. Don't care how embarassing it is. Winning breeds success. Are we going to bow out of something else now because it doesn't sound big enough for us?

Fight for it and win it.

Exactly, you enter a competition to try and win it, so that's what we should do. It's a trip to Wembley, and a trophy to put in the cabinet. And if any glory-hunter compares trophies, just say "well you ain't won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy".

Paint Trophy will see our lowest attendance for some time however. Tuesday nights away at the possibility of Barnet aren't all bad.

1st round of FA Cup. Home game can get fooked! Away that could be exiciting.

If we are away to a non-league side, I can see a TV match. 1st round of the Fa Cup, and me actually taking an interest in the draw. I just cannot believe it :(

We're acting as though we'd just win this easily.

Seriously everybody, get this arrogant attitude out of your heads. We're in this division because we deserve to be and we're going to be playing in this competition next season. Don't automatically think we'll win it because that attitude is extremely arrogant.

FFS! :angry::angry::angry:

If Milton Keynes (yes, MILTON KEYNES) can go for and win a league and Trophy double, there's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't attempt to do likewise.

So is it just me who doesn't wanna win this? lol

I do know what you mean. I don't think we're too 'big' for anything but having 40,000 fans going mental because we've just beat Chesterfield to win a final where the match report doesn't even make it on to teletext will be a stark reminder of how far we've fallen.

On the other hand...QUE SERA SERA, WHAAAAAATEVER WILL BE WILL BE

HAHA Enjoy the splendours of League One, here are my top five tips for things you can look forward to:

1. The Johnstones Paint Trophy. You probably don¿t know what it is, you don¿t want to either!

2. You¿re not famous anymore. From every set of fans, every week, ad nauseum.

3. The first round of the FA Cup. Probably away at Backwater United, maybe even on telly.

4. Frozen pitches. Games between November-February have a 50:50 chance of going ahead at many grounds.

5. Shilton reborn every week. Opponent goalkeepers will become worldbeaters when they play you.

PLAY UP SKY BLUES!!!

Everything is pretty much spot on. :(

This competition should be treated like Man U or Arsenal treat the early stages of the League cup, let the kids have a go

I think we be letting the kids have a go all season

Something like if you don't put out x players who've played more than y of the last z league fixtures you get a £1,000 fine.
