How was everyone's "first" day?

My first day back was shite.....apart from the fact that I have to work in Nuneaton (souless dump) most of my customers are Cov season ticket holders.....

As you can image every half an hour or so ive had one of the smug bast***s sticking their heads around my office door offering me words of encouagement, bunch of inbreds.

Then to make matters worse I went out in the car mid morning and that Cov t**t John Gaunt was on Talksport going on about how good Cov are and asking how Leicester fans would be feeling today..and then had the nerve to ask how long it was since we had an open top bus ride through our fair city...what a p**ck....anyone sensing that my day hasnt been the best.

Oh yes they are very good. A massive one point and one place above relegation. And we last had an open-top bus ride through our city in 2003 to celebrate our promotion. Coventry's last was in 1987. No-one can stand John Gaunt, and he speaks with the worst accent ever.

Most people have been good today. However the usual glory supporters like the man uniteds decided to take the piss.

I laughed and told them that i have seen man unt play more times than them :giggle:

Not too bad. Most people commiserating with me. Even got an email from my Head Teacher, sent on Sunday, sending his condolences!! He is a Cheltenham Supporter!!

Gaunt is a stuborn loudmouth knobhead who loves the sound of his own voice and can't accept anyone elses point of view, his and only his opinion matters in this world.

What a monumental cock.

Don't sit on the fence, man! Say what you really think, lol:D

To be honest, it wasn't too bad. Had some sympathy from Luton, Charlton, Ipswich and Liverpool fans I work with. My boss is a Forest fans and even he was sympathetic towards me.

The only person who decided to take the p*ss was a Liverpool fan. He emailed me as soon as he saw me walk in the office ......... so I decided to remind the cocky b*stard of his side being dumped out of the Champions League last week. I abused my position in the IT department and forced the homepage of his internet browser to be the Chelsea website, and removed his permissions to change it back until he apologised !! Was tempted to tell him where to go, but decided on a more subtle form of retribution.

Living in Peterborough, I know quite a few Posh fans ...... funnily enough, none of them have said anything to me yet - I suppose they're saving it up for when I see them this weekend !

For me it just seems to get worse and today was no different.

Many fans have expressed the feeling that the youngsters are the way forward but underneath I don't really feel they're more than temporarily convinced.

Already there's talk of McAuley at centre-back, Clemence in midfield and you wonder where it will end and whether we'll simply end up with another version of the same sort of failing team we've had this year and in previous years.

Will there ever be real demand for change and will there ever be anyone in the corridors of power at The Walkers who is humble enough to listen.

It's nearly Wednesday now and Holloway is still in situ.

For me the feeling of shock, anger, hopelessness and despair won't evaporate unil the announcement is made that mistakes WILL be rectified starting with the naming of a manager who is committed to attacking in numbers and with pace.

Not just occasionally but as a matter of policy and conviction.

As much as I have moaned in other strings about the f***st, villa, stoke and sheep fans.

I got some amazing sympathy from a level headed f**est fan (if there is one), a west brom fan who was screaming for us to score, my port vale mate (bless him!) gave me a good idea of what to expect and was quite sincere in his estimation of us.

Our Liverpool branch were gutted for us and a liverpool fan, away form liverpool -gh, was somewhat saddened by the departure of their long lasting bogey team.

The man u fan at work refused to taunt me and had a tenner on us staying up. I got an apology from our blunt blade fan at work, but this didn't stop me walking into his office saying 'f**king sheffield b4stard'

I even got a bad luck hug from another man u fan too, which was weird, but appreciated as he knows how passionate I am about this sinking ship.

However some of the indignities overwhelm this so I'm still pee'd off and blame everyone for this state of affairs. The f**est didn't like my conclusion of their spawny season, stating that how dare the third best team in the division go up automatic, and what a disgraceful state of affairs it is for that poor Leeds to have their points taken away from them. Also reminding they will go straight back down under calderwood really gets their goat.

So very mixed.

Hi first post. Go easy on me.

Work & live in Birmingham so most of the natives are feeling down anyway - Brum on way down, Wolves failed, Villa Fans concerned about UEFA Cup/Barry, Baggies fans happy - so its been ok. Most people know when to leave me alone & today they did

All things are relative - sit next to a Wrexham fan - we have been respectful of each other's position for weeks. Asked him if they had any decent playes we could nick. He mentioned a centre back? Will press for more details. Not asked him about Brian Little.

Got the worst stick form an old "friend" a Cov fan via text who said "anyway you will have some new grounds to visit" :@ He's gonna get it  And from a Leeds fan - reckons we are more disliked than Ken Bates :crylaugh:

You have all made me smile over the last few days so thanks a lot

Not gone back to work yet, only got one night shift on thursday (when there'll hardly be anybody at work anyway) before I have three weeks off. By which time i would expect most people to have forgotten about it.

Had most of my ripping from a Forest mate who was texting me during the match on sunday (C**t!), and a couple of commiseration texts from Fulham and Spurs supporters.

Does anyone care? You used to be famous 30 years ago. Stop hanging onto past glories please.

It's getting extremely tiresome.

I think we should ignore the sad little forest fan who thinks it's funny to come on here.

He'll go away eventually.

It's a suprise that he's got the time to come on here, what with calling for Calderwood's head taking up most of the day.

I had less stick than I was expecting, I think its because people knew not to come near me today!

I did get a little lesson in league 1 though by a strangely supportive Forest fan (maybe they are not bothered by us afterall???)

When it dawns you are in League 1

1. When the fixture list is published.

2. When you start playing in the FA Cup in October not January

3. When you get drawn against someone like Dagenham and Redbridge in the St Johnstones paint trophy

4. All teams coming to the stadium play much better against your team because they are coming to a big ground, big crowd probably for the 1st time in their career and the players probably want to move to your club.

Thats all I could remember unfortunately.

He did also tell me something to hope for in the play offs aswell, hope that leeds DONT go up. Apparantly Forest found it easier having another big club in the league so all the minnows could get physced up for Leeds and not them as much!!
