How was everyone's "first" day?

I'm sure everyone went out saw other supporters of other clubs on Monday and discussed it but how was everyone first "proper" day after City relegation? Back at work/college/school, e.t.c?

TBF mine wasn't to bad, Everyone that has took the piss out of me and Leicester over the past year we quite sad to have seen Leicester go, The Chelsea fan that gave me a load of shit, Man Utd fan, Wolves fan, Forest fan, and Coventry and Villa fans, really surprised! Was quite nice.

The only knob that did was my boss - A Derby fan, I've not said a word to him all season, but he still had to laugh at me and Leicester, I said oh well...In history we'll still be a bigger and better club, at least we've never been embarrassed by getting such a bad record in the Premiership, it didn't shut him up to much though, but was what nice is all the other people who don't support Leicester even stuck up for me against him.

I went to see my mum in Smethwick and to be fair most of the WBA fans were sympathizing with us and was sad to see us drop down. They were genuinely hoping for us to get straight back up. So I ain't had a bad day today.

Obviously I did receive loads of shit text messages mainly from Wolves fans, but I told them all to go and do one. Bastards.

It wasn't too bad, a Norwich fan was sympathetic, and others didn't really mention it. I could handle it even if they take the proverbial, I love my club and nothing will stop me from supporting them.

We had the usual anti-Leicester fans giving mouth, but apart from that people were upset to see us down.

What really pissed me off was I seen some mug in a Sheff Utd shirt.

Everybody's suddenly not a Leicester fan and taking the piss out of them like they never followed them. WTF.

Really? I don't know if it's just coincidence or i'm noticing more because of whats happened but yesterday and today I think i've seen more Leicester shirts being worn than usual! lol

And the Man Utd/Chelsea fan's sounded like Leicester fans for a change (I really do think deep down they support Leicester but use supporting Chelsea/Man Utd/Whoever's winning as a smokescreen) they were saying "Well at the end of the day their my home club and i'm sad that I live in a city/county that are in League One" I was quite shocked.

I really was dreading today but it was better than after most weekends.

Haha, I was close to nutting him, more forest fans around than usual too, they kept quiet mind.

Wilkes needs to get the pics of our common room flags up

When i got home from the match on sunday my flatmates had decorated the flat with banners & pictures that took the p*ss so i wasn't best pleased. Yesterday wasn't much better as I spent an hour on the phone getting ripped by my best mate who is a Palace fan & was at Selhurst to see them win 5-0 & get in to the play-offs. Then today I had to face one of my course-mates who is a Southampton fan so its been a rough few days to say the least :(

They only say that because they either don't want to be called a glory-hunter or you will deck them if they took the p***.

P.S. I don't condone violence, but when "Man U" glory hunters are concerned then a little clip is okay ;)

I got the ripping of a lifetime when I returned to work yesterday.

However the news that Kris Commons is off to Derby helped sweeten it a touch, every cloud and all that :D

What annoys me is the non-football fans or pure glory fans who know sod all about passion and following their club properly giving out the piss takes, told them where to stick it.

Myn was ok. First day back at school today. Someone said , "Aren't you embarassed wearing that shirt", but i was thinking to my self i take pride in who i support, and i am happy to support this wonderful club. And somebody said to me, cause i was wearing a Leicester shirt, "you shouldn't be wearing that". For some reason i love this club more now than i ever did. God knows why! :dunno:

I have that feeling too, I think it's just to show others "yeah we're still here".

I know what you mean mate about that glory fans issue! It is quite annoying. Somebody kept on saying hahahahaha you went down! He's a Liverpool fan, so i was tempted to say, you have no idea what football fans like us lot go through, the feeling if they score a last minute goal, or if we score!

I have that feeling too, I think it's just to show others "yeah we're still here".

Your spot on mate.

These folk around here just don't get it.

For a start nobody knew until I told them.

Second, most of them don't understand the concept of relegation/promotion since most of the sport they watch is a franchised system like the NFL, NHL, etc.

So it's been no different for me.

People have been pretty sympathetic and wished us good luck on coming back up next season - and most think we will. :)

Only troublesome ones were Fo**st fans who gave me some stick. One did the old "For Sale on Ebay - router and map for finding Yeovil, Crewe, Hartlepool and other Div 3 grounds - not needed any more by seller, apply to NFFC" joke!!

Oh how I DID laugh :crylaugh:

All the glory lads were absolute cocks about it, non-stop. All the geezers that support less high flying prem or lower league clubs were really sympathetic actually. Which is a suprise. Usually get my most cutting abuse from them due the fact they actually know who some of our (fooking dreadful) players our, what form we're in etc.

Boss at work who is a forest fan was fairly mild in his abused, he just smirked and said "I wont say anything" and left me be all day. :D

To be fair I was ready to take a hammer to anyones head that took the piss today, thankfully I didn't have to.

As for giving the Man Utd fan a clip he is ok, he stays quiet doesn't wind me up, its the Chelsea/Arsenal fans that wind me up!

My first day was yesterday actually. Went to the local garden centre in my away shirt. Some numpty carolled "you've come out in sympathy with that useless lot, have you?", to which I replied "now is the time to wear the shirt with pride." "Bet you got it half price today didn't you?" Numpty retorted. "Full price, first day. Leicester 'til I die" I replied with a look that said "come back again and that stocky young fern over there will be shoved up your jacksy.

Wore a black armband to work today. Got some sympathy but a lot of "it's only football" type comments. Pillocks.

The truth did begin to dawn, however, when I had to go to Northampton and entered said shot hole via Sixfields. OMG. Roll on 2009/10 when we return to the, ahem, promised land of the Chumpionship.

On the other hand, my best mate is a Bournemouth fan so it's a double relegation this season. Doesn't get much worse than that.

Tbh I took more abuse today than ever before. And it all came from "Liverpool" and "Man U" fans, you know the sort. The other football league fans I know (Palace, Dons, Luton etc.) were well sympathetic about it

One conversation today:

"What do you mean you still support them?"

"Called being a real fan"

"Oh well the championship is s*** anyway"

"Do you even know half the teams there?"

"I don't care, if United ever went down, I'd stop supporting a team"

:banghead:

my managers a sheff wed fan and gave me a hug as i went into work how sweet lol He said he was praying for a leicester goal because he dont like cov living in Hinckley and that.

Wasn't too bad for me, especially considering my school is composed of ~70% Man U fans... but the majority of them said that "It was a sad day."

One Liverpool fan made fun of Leicesters relegation, I told him to fcuk off back to his hole with the rest of his glory supporter friends. Thankfully he did. :)

My games teacher is a Derby fan ( ), I was suprised he didn't say anything about it at all.

More sympathy than abuse though. :D
