davieG Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 hopefully he doesnt listen to ollie if he wants to spend £20 million on the next Ade Akinbiyilink Except we don't know who it was 'selected' the shit players - MM seems to be the only constant.
BigGibbo Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 Mandaric just got a bit excited last summer but now he's had his hand burnt he should calm down.
Scow Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 Thanks Milan, really appreciate it. Shame it's a year too late. Twat.
General Smuts Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 Mandaric just got a bit excited last summer but now he's had his hand burnt he should calm down. I hope this is the case.
Flynny Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 Mandaric just got a bit excited last summer but now he's had his hand burnt he should calm down. By hand do you mean penis? That'd certainly put a whole new complexion on your post.

Who wrote that? Anderson? Someone should email him and ask him to name the exact points in the season when any of those players made an impact. The man's on a different planet.
Master Fox Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 lol We're not that stupid. I mean, how many times over the last eight years or so have we heard that? I thought the club policy was to buy 'sh*t' players? Maybe I'm wrong?

dave_1988 Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 Why does he even need to say this? Beyond it being absolutely obvious that we bought rubbish players for inflated prices, is he really stupid enough to have only just learnt that lesson? A man of his experience in business and his (fairly limited) success in football shouldn't have made such a huge mistake in the first place, but I think as Leicester fans we all knew the risk of careless spending... shame he didn't look back at our disastrous investments less than a decade ago.

Relatively speaking we're paying a bigger price, emotionally and financially.
Thracian Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 I'd have been more comfortable if he'd said we'll be doing our proper homework on future signings but I do wish his learning had been done when it was mentioned instead of his replicating the mistakes in the January window and helping to get us relegated. Perhaps he'll learn some more and stop being so damned obsessed with slow-paced old timers and instead get people like Gradel involved and some pace too in other positions. I've read some shit from club crony Anderson but claiming injury stopped Kaebi being a success tops most of it. There was no way he was going to make an English Championship League player and it was plain to see within three or four weeks of his arrival. I'm not even sure he could have stayed in the reserves on merit, at least without a great deal of acclimatising which he and we didn't have time for.
Daggers Posted 22 May 2008 Posted 22 May 2008 He will be value for money = Cheap. That whole article reads like a man wanting to flog what he can to recoup his losses before disposing of the club. I could be wrong, it's just my take on it. But I'm not.
