To be fair, they played out of their skin at the World Cup. You might even say they were pure TNT (oh dear)

How we only managed three past a team ranked 88th in the world is beyond me. Terrible. It was basic things that we just couldn't do. How hard is it to play a simple pass to feet? We just didn't do enough of it at all. Even players like Gerrard who you'd expect to see breeze through this game had total mares and needlessly gave the ball away far too often. I don't even think these new players in the England side gave any positive room for thought. Ashton's clearly not good enough for England yet, and although he got two goals, Defoe is very questionable too. David Bentley is a classic example of a player trying too hard to impress and it's very annoying. He tries to do something special, to be in the limelight, when all he has to do is play it simple. Ashley Young came on and looked poor too. They should try taking a look at Jagielka instead- came on and did the simple things well. Poor yet again from England. Cappello's got some work to do.

We don't have one who I fully trust to score goals for us. Although to be fair I think that's a little harsh on Crouch who I thought didn't really get a lot of chance to produce much tonight, but had some decent headers at times.
