Not everyday you bump into your sporting hero

Best sportsman I have been in the vicinity is David Beckham and Gary Neville at Filbert Street when he was injured.

I sat directly behind him.

I saw Ian Marshall in town once, and if you didn't know he was a footballer you'd think he was a tramp, bless him.

I also saw Pat Roach outside Irish Menswear. Top that

Ian Marshall once asked me out, back in the days when he was at Ipswich. 'bout an hour later he threw up on my shoes. :glare: I was unimpressed. :@

A couple of years after that he stalked me to Leicester! I'd only been up there about a week, having just started Uni - waltzed into Brannigans  - and tripped over Marshall. Still, I got a drink or two out of him! :P:giggle:

On airport related meetings, ol' El Tel was on my plain back from Spain a few weeks back.

As an aside, I learnt yesterday that my sister's lodger used to work in the Hilton in Leicester and used to bump into Leicester players all the time. Apparently Ian Walker used to come in, get drunk, play the piano and sing. Lovely stuff.

Gary Lineker came to my school in Belgium once and so I got to meet him and shake his hand... he was impressed that he had found a Leicester supporter in Belgium, this despite being at an British school in Belgium! :)

Still, at least I met the great man himself! :D
