Blimey is Sinner heading out ?!

Tough for Sinner but would leave the tournament wide open.

A case of who can survive the most?

32 degrees is not exactly weather you should be wilting under as the worlds best tennis player, especially with less than two hours on court.

Can't just be the heat surely, he literally instantly fell off a cliff. Went from barley being able to lose a game to barley being able to win one.

Could be a mixture of things, but Sinner has history of going through incidents like this in matches, against Spizzirri at this years Australian Open for example, but on this occasion, he was well and truly fvcked.

I know he’s no fan of the heat but this was like instant capitulation

Surely once you’re gone then you’re gone with the heat. Maybe a bit under the weather too?

I hope we just get a completely random winner now like the time Cilic won the US open

You’d imagine Zverev or Djockovic now both of which would be in intriguing for different reasons, but far from a shoe in, Djockovic can lose to anyone these days and Zverev has always been capable of losing to anyone especially when an opportunity is put in front of him.

Shelton gone as well, but hardly trustworthy on clay.

FAA the top seed left in the top half, but he’s hardly trustworthy on clay either.

Be a surprise finalist or clay court specialist .

That top half starting to look like a clay court tournament in South America.

My head is leaning towards those in section four, Cobolli, Tien or Cerundolo(The better brother).

Then one of them will probably lose the final in straights to Djokovic or Zverev.

Świątek v Kostyuk looks like a good last 16 clash .

Muchova another top seed out .

Jodar taken to 5 sets but Rublev looked good

KK and ADM in trouble now .

I dunno how Felix has even managed to get himself into a position where he’s fourth seed, other than the fact he seems to turn up to nearly every tournament, there are some really questionable players in the top 10 seedings in general.

Well played Fonseca, what an entertaining match that was.

Would be funny if Zverev bottles it from here.

Starting to feel like the WTA of 2021/2022 when you had the likes of Kontaveit, Sakkari, Garcia reach the top 10.

I just hope with the youngsters emerging, they’ll eventually push the likes of FAA out and you start to see a more solid top 10.

Quite, it’s not just him Bublik as well who is entertaining and has improved but surely shouldn’t be knocking around the top 10, Fritz is also taking up a completely redundant place in if at the moment as he looks nowhere near right after this injury lay off. Hopefully see a bit more from him during the grass swing.

tbh everyone below Zvarev in the top 10 seedings, on form, including Novak, you look at and think how are you seeded x. Possible exception being AD but even he is in crap form.

With FAA he’ll have a bunch of points to defend as the year progresses, in particular at the US Open. Bublik is far too random to stick around the top 10, you expect a drop off to come.

Fritz and De Minaur need to get their act together or they’ll definitely drop out. I expect Shelton and Medvedev to stick around.

If they are able to get back to full health, both Musetti and Draper will probably get back in the top 10 mix at some point.

Then it just depends which youngsters can propel themselves in the mix, at least you are starting to see a fair few candidates starting to emerge.
