Collymore Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Wow, It feels like we've had them in the past, but this now is really a new era for Leicester City now the Hume's and Stearman's are being sold. I feel quite excited in a way. We have brought in a new manager who isn't talking about unblocking drainpipes on a Sunday morning and is quitely getting on with the job in hand. I'd like to See DJ, Howard and Hayles going next and pearson bring in some new young and hungry blood. Don't get me wrong, I'll be sad to see Humey and Stearman go, but I'm glad to see us actually using a weed killer that kills the roots this time. Hopefully we can plant a nice shrub and come back unrecognisable next season.

Losing two of our best players in one day isn't good in anyone's book. I agree we need a weed killer that kills the roots but noone can seriously say that Hume and Stears were really the problem can they. There are plenty of players I would like to see shipped out but they weren't two of them

There are plenty of players I would like to see shipped out but they weren't two of them Yeah it would of been nice to try and shift the time wasters and idle sods first because we will have trouble replacing our better players IMO and to lose two of them in a day just makes it worse! I'm now just waiting to hear that Mattock/Shush/Weso is off next!? You go days on end without anything happening, then like buses the players all start leaving at once!

There are plenty of players I would like to see shipped out but they weren't two of them I disagree, if Hume and Stearman were so important there would be a more weight of good feeling towards them, I’d say it’s pretty much split. Don’t get me wrong, they did have their moments but I think the fact they’re not bothered about sticking around and fighting the cause speaks for itself, we’ve had that sort of passion for years. In the long term getting 2.5M for the both of them now is a great decision.
hairy Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Good post Collymore. A new era, a new team. Its been a while coming and I feel its been too long in its arrival. Hopefully the last four seasons are buried and we can look forward to City's rebirth.

I agree, it is a new era and although you don't want to lose your best players, if they don't want to stay then quite frankly they can bugger off. In all honesty, I care more about who Nigel Pearson wants to bring in.
