Lillehamring Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 nonsense. this is not a bad thing, it is no surprise that these players went first, teams have been sniffing around for ages. as for the remaining deadwood, the deadwood that we couldn't get rid of in the championship, no one is going to be rushing to sign them... as for all this doom and gloom... if you were pearson, what would you prefer, some middle of the road players having to drop down a devision, or £4M quid in the transfer kitty... maybe MM won't spend that much, but i'm sure he is expecting to spend some cash. this is good for the club, make no mistake, it gives the young guys a chance, it means we can have players used to playing at this level, that will consider playing for leicester to be a big thing. chin up

I think Hume and Stearman were both genuinely distraught after relegation. However, when agents, advisors and league 1 salaries rear their ugly heads there was only ever going to be one outcome.
Mr Happy Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 The way I see it is most of these players have been here a while now, namely McAuley and Kisnorbo, and during this time we've been shockingly despicable. Everytime a decent player emerges he moves on not long after his brilliance becomes noticable (e.g Collymore, Connolly, Thatcher etc) so if these currant players that took us down couldn't be bothered to attempt leicester's first season in the 3rd div and take us back up... then sod em!! Theres certain players such as Hume and Stearman that while i'll be unhappy to see them move on, I believe its for the best. Progression we're moving forward (now lets leave Howard behind along with the memory of last season) After all we support the club not the manager or players so long after all these currant wasters have moved on, the club will still be here and we'll still be supporting to the very end Leicester forever

Raj Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 When we got relegated i felt crap. Then i started to feel better and optimistic for the future. Now that the duo of Iain Hume and Richard Stearman have now left the club I now feel like crap and deflated again, the pains of relegation sinking further. I need for Leicester to start signing some players making me feel happy again and reassuring me that we can be a good competitive side in League 1... ...Please Anyone else feel like this, it's like all the hurt that we have tried so desperately to put behind us is now flooding back Fcuk sake mate...Hope you aint got a knife nearby!!! We've been relegated. Do you REALLY not expect players to move on? You dont think they want to play in LG1 do you? I mean its not like they had anything to do with us gfoing down is it....que rolleyes..... And they are ALL quality players who want to play for top teams like ...BArnsley....que rolleyes....... Cheer up mate....we could be Leeds!!!
