Tommy G Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 I'm a skinny git, I want to add a few pounds of muscle. I've got the weight training routine down I just need to work out the foods to eat and stuff. It's just all these proteiny foods seem really dull and unappetising. Sounds like your a beginner. train 3 times a week and eat about 4000-5000 cals a day from the following foods. Chicken Steak Turkey OATS Tuna Oily Fish Cottage Cheese Plenty of fruit and Veg sweet Potato Anything wholemeal Supplementary weight gainer shakes, some can be upto 750 cals a serving. Eat 3g of protein per KG you weigh. Train compound moves initially, lift to failure. Thats so basic its untrue, PM me if you want more info but it's not worth the rippage from other members on here for me to go on much longer. Incidently ive not trained for 3 weeks because of an operation and ive lost about 4kgs and two cm on each arm If you want to pack on bulk quickly then try creatine, be careful though and do your research, you should take about 3g of that a day to get some decent results. drink plenty of water with it and avoid alcohol if you're serious enough.

Finnegan Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 They shrink your balls, I learnt that from House House
Tommy G Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 When you say tone up do you mean lose weight or gain muscle?I do about an hours weights / press ups / sit ups in the morning, followed by the same before I go to bed. The key is not to overdo it otherwise you'll grow tired of it. So your training twice a day, therefore already over doing it... You're not going to pack on any muscle doing press ups and sits ups mate!
Master Fox Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 I would insert my twinkle toes gif of TG, but i've lost it......
AoWW Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 I would insert my twinkle toes gif of TG, but i've lost it...... Strange, I thought you lost it ages ago.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 July 2008 Posted 7 July 2008 So your training twice a day, therefore already over doing it... You're not going to pack on any muscle doing press ups and sits ups mate! It's only light training, I'm hardly over-doing it. It's not that intense a regime. And I know that I won't gain that much muscle doing it, but my abs have become more toned, and my biceps are bigger than before I started. I don't want to become huge, just healthy.
