Simi Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 I saw him against USA for Eng and I thought he was poor. Just too in consistent for me. He's got a fook er of a shot on him and some pace but thats about it. Over hyped striker such as Bellamy, Corradi, Crespo, Alan Smith, Mutu etc When has Alan Smith been over-hyped as a striker?
David Guiza Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 I saw him against USA for Eng and I thought he was poor. Just too in consistent for me. He's got a fook er of a shot on him and some pace but thats about it. Over hyped striker such as Bellamy, Corradi, Crespo, Alan Smith, Mutu etc Crespo has got 225 goals in 442 games for club and country it might just be me but i thought that is pretyy good
Sparky Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Growing up Steve Walsh and Paul Gascoigne were my idols and enjoyed watching Maradona too. Tony Adams should also warrant a mention . Nowadays im a fan of Scholes
Ozwin Posted 10 July 2008 Posted 10 July 2008 Batistuta was a beast a few years back. Diego Forlan has this underdoggy feel about him which I like. Carlos Vela has always been my FM love. Matias Fernandez - See above. Nihat, grown on me during the euros.

Kilworthfox Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Eric Cantona beats Pavel Nedved but only just from the recent past However Maradonna beats everyone and anyone who says otherwise is just plain wrong
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 I haven't seen enough of him to be my favourite player but I wish Sky would show more Atletico games so that we'd get a decent look at Aguero. The bits and pieces I've seen have been sensational. Personally I just love watching Barcelona when they're in form. It didn't really happen last season and they were playing really poorly going into the games with Manchester United so we had the world and his wife thinking that Cristiano Ronaldo is as good as Lionel Messi.
Lovejoy Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Thierry Henry at his best was something else. He could rip teams apart single-handedly.
