no games on sky this year

More games are being added all the time and will be throughout the season. We will be on around three times. Also with regards to the FA Cup ITV have 1st and 4th pick. Setanta have 2nd 3rd and 5th if there is a fith. This means we get picked in a decent game Setanta is a likelyhood.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So hang on, It's either PPV or shite coverage...Football fans are the winners once again

(Pay per view for fecking football something that before was either free or a standard contract, now you have to pay more onto of the standard subscribtion )

Also - I don't think we were originally scheduled for many/if any games last season and we had a fair few on Sky.

Setanta is a full-blown network of stuff Sky couldn't quite be bothered with these days. They still do PPV for people who don't want to subscribe, but thats mostly used for Boxing etc. - mostly its monthly subscriptions for it these days. Its a fair whack less to add to a package than Sky Sports, for both cable and sky, so I don't see why they get your vitriol while Sky don't, they're not doing anything different, its just that it costs extra on satellite and is included on cable instead of the other way around.

With only having freeview it might be worth paying a tenner a month for Setanta just in case we are on at some point in the season. I won't hold my breath though.

Had sky for years...paying £40 for movies i could have got on dvd 3 months before and football overload!Gone over to sultana and for a tenner a month it doesn't really bother me if i don't watch every game........probably watched more conference games last season than the premiership games they put on every weekend!

I would have thought you'd have done that for free!

Some of the Conference games last season on there were great, even got a couple of 'free' ones!

We could get a Sky game on international weekend if we have a game still.

What an epic that'll be.

You're thinking of spending £100+ to watch maybe one Leicester game.....I'm worried about you.

I would gladly pay £10 per month for Setanta not to show a Leicester game. :)

Leeds got quite a few games on sky last year so we should get at least a couple! Our boxing day clash with Leeds would probably get more viewers than any other game in england on boxing day!!

No need to worry my friend, I do actually enjoy watching other football and if Leicester decide to be on at any point then bonus :)

Nah, it'll get called off due to half our team being on Under-19 duty that weekend ;)

I remember the days when normal League service resumed when internationals took place.

Would be nice.

To the guys thinking of getting Sultana just incase we might be on...

You do know this season they have no rights to Football League at all. You'll have more chance of seeing a City match if you stare at a wall.

It's a shame the new TV deal for the Football league doesn't kick in until 2009-2010, then the BBC will be showing a few matches.

Sadly football will be never get back to how it was when we were growing up. It's too far up its own arse now.
