Mark Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Pissed off, but they deserved it. we were awful in the second half. 88139 Did they FU.CK. We played really well today, great passion from the players at last. It's good to watch them again after years of crap. SHOULD NOT HAVE BROUGHT NALIS ON Moore on for De Vries - Yes. Nalis on for Connolly - No no no no no no no no no
dave_binos Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Anyone fancy giving a detailed report on the game?
Deathside Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Anyone fancy giving a detailed report on the game? 88148 There's a lengthy report on the OS
dave_binos Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Can you give us a link to the OS please? I just like to hear peoples opinion on the games and all it has been so far has been a bit of squabbling.
step Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 The whole aquad fell apart in the last 10 mins, Not one of them could kick the ball, let alone pass it, their nerves got the better of them and they was dire.
filbertway Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 I think we played well, wolves were poor, the referee was absloutley crap as was his linesman. But why do you put all your men in the box to defend a corner, leave 1 or 2 men out so your not inviting the attack, basics stuff
Anish Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 I was going mental at our play after we scored. It was shambolic and disgraceful. Yes I agree with MON - Wolves deserved to draw, simply because we f'king bottled it big time. Sat back and went into ultra-defensive mode after we scored. Absolutely pathetic. There was no excuses for that when we were on top for the whole game. Levein's tactics was piss poor. De Vries is useless, end of. He can do absolute fuc kall. Get rid of this twat. Yet CL the genius takes off Connolly and brings on Nalis, inviting Wolves forward and killing our attacking options/forward play. I completely blame Levein for this - the game should have been dead and buried but one costly blunder by him gives Wolves a point. Fair play to them, they were shite all game and turned the screw when it mattered the most - they battered us in the last 10 mins and deserved it. Rant over

Mark Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 you people who posted during the match why didnt you go to the match ?? 88200 They are dedicated Foxestalkers Where were the extra 10,000 from last season? It was a Tuesday night not everyone can make it, Steven isnt living in England from what i remember, not everyone lives in Leicester. No one on here is a part timer (except MON ) or else they wouldnt bother joining in first place. We're all equal. In my opinion anyway.

Louise Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 The ref had it in for us, all because we criticised his dress sense... Levein: "At the start of the game we suggested to the referee his yellow shirt was too close for comfort to the orange colour Wolves wore but he told us there wouldn't be a problem."But then at half-time he changes it to black. "I don't know if it had any bearing on the decision to disallow our goal but when our players were down with the referee and the linesman in the corner it was definitely mentioned." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/cc_ch...MHD=nationwide1
Benji Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 dave bino its hardly squabbling mate i don't think anyone has said they hate levein, i've already said we played some very great stuff but the key thing is the result we've drawn today! whats the point in playing 85 minutes well if your going to let one in in the last 5, you can't just disregard the bad points like some people like to do otherwise how are you going to improve? i agree there has been little regard to the good points but there not going to become significant until you cut out the errors
Knighton Matt Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 Christ i should really spell check my posts Wasn't talking about you mr chainsaw How did Hughes, Williams and Kenny Miller of Wolves play tonight? 88199 none of them really made an impact tonight hughes was wasted out on the left wing showed some nice touches first half but hardly had a kick second half. williams gave the ball away too often and couldn't really make a big impact and you could hardly tell miller was playing excellently marshalled by dion and dabizas.

Scow Posted 5 April 2005 Posted 5 April 2005 I thought Levein had managed to eradicate the panic we used to endure for the final 10 minutes of games. What didn't help was MDV's inability to hold up the ball. He was awful tonight, Lescott had no problems against him. I thought we played fairly well for most of the game. It was nice to see some intricate link up play between Hughes, Williams and Connolly, which opened up the opposition. Gillespie was promising again, someone who at least is prepared to run with the ball. Wolves had nothing until the final 10 minutes, but that was down to us more than what they could do. We concede yet another goal from a set piece, it's extremely frustrating. We need to leave someone forward from corners in those situations, because bringing everyone back is just asking for trouble, as we have no one to hold the ball up and relieve the pressure. For the goal, all the players seemed to be camped within the 12 yard area, which left Lescott (One of the major threats) free to volley home unmarked. We've been riddled with problems defending set pieces under Levein - Whether it will be zonal marking or man marking, we still concede far too many. I really hope he gets this sorted for next season, because it is holding us back.
