Just spoke to Ricky Sappleton, once more via facebook chat :cool: and he doesn't know if he is staying or not, and confirmed that there wasn't a two on one fight between Taggart Hayes and Beswick. I for one do not believe him. GERRY GERRY GERRY!

Tell him, no, demand, that he stays. He's more promising that Odhiambo imo.

I said he is better than some we have, and should fook it and stay. Also knowitall said NP thinks he is one for the future etc, but we never seem to hear much about Sapps.

Hopefully he continues banging them in for the ressies and earns a place in the first XI. Certainly has the attributes to do it.

Really?! Waht is Taggart's role at the minute then?

I dunno mate, from Hayes and Beswicks comments I assume he is looking after those staying behind from the trip. Not sure what his role will be though tbh.

Foxes In Friendly Action Tonight

Posted on: Wed 16 Jul 2008

Leicester City will take part in their second friendly of the pre-season campaign when they face Slovenian side Olympia this evening (Wednesday).

The hastily arranged training game will take place in Ljubliana - kick off 6pm local time.

City boss Nigel Pearson said: "It will be another training game but different from the first one at Hinckley because I will be making only a few changes rather than a complete new line-up in the second half.

"The work so far has gone very well and everyone is settling in together as a group - both staff and players.

"This game will be important to have a look at certain players, especially Aleksander Tunchev in a match for the first time since he joined us.

"It will certainly help him get to know the rest of the players and we may try a few experiments in some positions but it will definitely be a useful outing for us."

The Foxes will go through a light training session in the morning before travelling to Ljubliana in the afternoon.

The squad will then return to their mountain-based training camp later tonight before taking up their regular training schedule again on Thursday.

A report and pictures will be available here on the official website following the game.

Olympia ply their trade in the Slovenian second division, with five former home international from the countries golden generation to boast in their squad.

League Two side Notts County gained a 2-1 victory over Olympia in Germany on Monday evening.

I reckon a 4/5-0 comfortable win.

Having looked at their squad and the age of some of their players, you'd like to think so. But aren't they playing in Peru or somewhere about 30,000 feet above sea level?

No idea but someone said McAlpine's wanted to rent him for a bit cos they needed a grappling iron. :D
