Uncle Albert Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 What on earth happened? Clash of heads at football.
Father Ted Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 That's pretty poor, was it the guy in my avatar? Is that Craig Adams dressed up as Max Mosley a nazi?
isaidno Posted 28 July 2008 Author Posted 28 July 2008 That's pretty poor, was it the guy in my avatar? That's brilliant, not sure the mods will let you keep it !
filbertway Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Is that Craig Adams dressed up as Max Mosley a nazi? It's a picture taken outside of Max Mosley's "games room".
Katy Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Clash of heads at football. Sounds like you came off worse then.
General Smuts Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Hope your alreet buddy. Did you referee a game they played in?
isaidno Posted 29 July 2008 Author Posted 29 July 2008 The people who did it have been arrested and are in custody
Guest Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 The people who did it have been arrested and are in custody That's at least a bit of good news. Doesn't change how awful what they did was but hopefully they'll get what they deserve
Head Honcho Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 The people who did it have been arrested and are in custody I doubt the driver your hoping to come forward will do so! If he'd any bottle he'd have got out the car and helped you in the first place.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 The people who did it have been arrested and are in custody Good.
isaidno Posted 29 July 2008 Author Posted 29 July 2008 They got let off with a warning. The bastards nearly killed me and all they get is a warning !. That's outrageous
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 They got let off with a warning. The bastards nearly killed me and all they get is a warning !. That's outrageous A warning won't stop them doing it again. The police need to sort themselves out, and think about the victim in these types of violent crimes.
Floating Fox Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 The people who did it have been arrested and are in custody They'll be let off for nothing though. The ****s who robbed my phone etc got knicked but only had to pay £80 between them I've still only recieved £17.50 as well EDIT: Just seen your post above....
davieG Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 A warning won't stop them doing it again. The police need to sort themselves out, and think about the victim in these types of violent crimes. The police will have a good idea whether it's likely to end up in court and what the outcome will be equated against all the work they will have to do to get it there. Obviously Isaidno is pissed off by their decision but the police we'll be pissed off as well knowing that if they pursued it the twats would end up with the equivalent of a warning anyway.

That's a good way of looking at it. It's better them being let off now than me spending 3 weeks in a court case and then being told they've been let off.

Fair point.
Head Honcho Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 A warning won't stop them doing it again. The police need to sort themselves out, and think about the victim in these types of violent crimes. It's got nothing to do with the police! The law and justice are as far apart from each other as they've ever been.

It's better them being let off now than me spending 3 weeks in a court case and then being told they've been let off. I suspect that would be your best case scenario as well bearing in mind it's your word against theirs, worst case they could drum up some story to say you started it and you'd be the one on the defensive, it would be like getting beat up twice. Sad to say but thugs like this may be thick twats but not that thick that they haven't sussed out how to work the system in their favour and there's plenty of lawyer types who'll defend them and contribute to their connivance for a £ or 2.
AoWW Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 That's a good way of looking at it. It's better them being let off now than me spending 3 weeks in a court case and then being told they've been let off. I realise it's not the idea outcome for you but davieG does have a point. And having to face them in court to then find out they'd been let off for lack of evidence, etc, would have been shite. The police are at least now aware of who they are and are more likely to be keeping an eye out for them.

I don't really know much about the whole justice system (as my post has obviously proved). I was just doing a bit of generic ranting.
