I was walking passed Cossington mill , just passed the red lion, when 4 youths started shouting abuse at me. I told them to get lost. 2 of them crossed the road and chased after me. They caught me and pushed me over a barrier into the road, narrowly missing a car. I picked myself up & then they punched me to the ground again. I got up and ran for my life. Luckily they gave up and I managed to hide in a field & call the police. Evenly more luckily all I have cuts and bruises to my elbows and a scratched back. I thought the car was going to hit me, I thought I was going to die !. The police actually got who did it, but their denying all knowledge so it's my word against theirs. If they have previous the may get done. I'm hoping the driver of the car comes forward or somebody else who drove past. I'm just lucky to be here

Idiots like that should be thrown into jail or even still, if they think their so hard they should go to Iraq if they think there so hard. I was on my bike this evening at around 7 and as every 18-21 year old passes who is looking Chavvy you feel so intimidated! Anyway, the good thing is your still here and it could have been a lot worse...

Had a guy threaten to punch my lights out today cos I cut the corner of his (gravelled) garden by putting one foot on it before moving to the pavement. Doesn't take anything to get people stoked up nowadays *Note* I had typo in my 1st line that I had to correct... but I was tempted to leave it. I typed, "Glad you ok and hope they can anil the guys"

fox123 Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 This goes to show society of today, I was talking to my Mrs yesterday, because there was a bloke near to Sainsburys (Fosse Park) wondering in the middle of the road with out a care in the World (maybe on something) crossing one side of the road to the other (the grass part in the middle) I hard to slow right down as not to hit him and he was just walking in front of my car and I couldn't get past. My Mrs said to me 'what did you do'? I said nothing, there is nothing you can do because you don't know what is going to be produced if you get into a ruckus - gone are the days of telling someone to fook off and getting away with it - you either get set up on, by a gang or face the possibility of getting stabbed or worse still shot! Youth of today just really do not give a fook about what happens, they seem to hold no fear about going to jail. I know this has been mentioned before but we do need to bring in some form of stronger punishment than jail terms.
