Shouldn't be affected by the flight but if it's randomly started doing it and it's never done it before you might wanna get it looked at. Chances are though it's not as bad as you think, you'll be magnifying it because of pre-flight nerves. As ever with these things, I advise going to see a doctor. Can't do you any harm.

Cheers and on a serious note have you got any other symptoms? infection? slight deafness? ringing (tinnius)? discharge? dizzyness? tingling on the right side of face (Facial nerve goes through the ear)? slight loss of taste on the Right side of tongue (taste nerve goes through the ear)? had a begnin tumor growth in my moddle ear so know about ears!
