Stockport Post-Match

Anyone know of any websites that have the highlights of the cup games, as virginmedia do for the league games?

It is a rare occurrence Howard hitting the back of the next for us, so I would like to revel in it whilst possible!

Mattock's injury just exposes the stupidity of disposing Clapham so quickly and ruthlessly. Clapham may not have been great but at least we would have had cover for Mattock instead of us now having to scramble around trying to find someone to fill his place for Saturday. Looking in the team for Stockport thread, none of the options offered are going to be as good as Clapham as far as steady defence is concerned, which we will require on away days like this.

This was Holloway's fault.

He got rid of Sheehan to Leeds and replaced him with the terrible Clapham.

Now Sheehan is at Leeds, in a promotion favourites side and has no interest of staying with the club who nurtured his talent and provided him with the break through to first team football.

Meanwhile Clapham's career is finished.

Another case of Leicester opting for useless older players whose legs have gone rather than young and hungry academy prospects.

As for the season so far, two wins, two clean sheets.

Defensively both keepers have rarely been tested due to the lack of quality up top in this division. (Beckford apart)

I'm concerned with Kerrea Gilbert, his distribution and defensive ability looks suspect at times.

Morrison, Tunchev and Hobbs have all been rock solid so far.

Dyer and Adams haven't found their form yet, but i think this is down to settling in.

Gradel and Porter both look dangerous but need to improve their final ball.

As i've said before Matty Oakley should run this division and i'd like to see King play alongside him.

Howard and Fryatt will do the business and another illustration against Stockport that DJ Campbell is absolute garbage.

I had exactly the same thing behind me yesterday. lol

Ball goes way above Howard's head - "Come on Howard". Fool.

I was behind you for 10 minutes or so :ermm: :Pp

We won the game, good enough for me. It wasn't about the performance, just the result. We should have been a goal down inside a minute, but we weren't and I think we just about edged it in the end.

Sad about Mattock, and it exposes our lack of cover for his position as well.

One thing that actively annoyed me tonight. The bloke behind me was booing Howard, saying he was crap etc, etc. But this was for unreasonable stuff. Say a ball is 30m in the air, Howard cannot head it. Yet for some reason this guy blamed him for almost everything. I'm not Howard's biggest fan but I've never booed him, and I thought tonight he played excellently. I think "fans" just boo him for the sake of it sometimes.

Anyway few minutes after Howard scored, he was singing "Super Stevie Howard."

What a tosser.

Howard had a goodish game last night in many ways. He seemed to be giving his all in various phases and when all's said and done scored the winning goal.

Strikers can be forgiven all sorts of things when they score regularly and increasingly little when they don't.

I see nothing to be gained from booing any of our players.

The only time I would ever berate a player is if they don't try. Howard tried last night and contributed well, so the criticism Howard received is out of order, and needless.
