Alexikokopops Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 How long before this thread is closed after meandering down an alleyway of young team virtues and ridiculous similies? It's already started.
lcfc81 Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 I like Pearson.Making some good decisions. Pushing alot of the young'ens through if they impress and giving them a chance. Changing to closed doors with the reserves and not doing any poncy media work at the training ground like holloway did - focusing on the job in hand. Good to see he is giving the youth a chance and rewarding their good form

Thracian Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 Kingy's thoroughly deserved his contract and it would already seem that the new management have done wonders for him. He's always had ability but if he lacked anything it was the strength and stamina to last a full senior game. It didn't help that manager's like Holloway left him sidelined for so long that his match fitness slipped but there seems little doubt he's a fitter, more durable prospect under pearson's guidance. He's not the only one of course, the whole team looks sharper. But Kingy really needs to be at his fittest to give of his best. People needn't worry about him getting complacent. He'll keep working on his game cos he's that kind of guy. There's nothing flash about him nor about his family who are there in strength to support him at every game and at whatever level. He wouldn't have been offered his contract if he hadn't shown he could cope at first team level and now he needs to work on his consistency, on increasing his positive influence on the games and, of course, on the variety and accuracy of his free kicks. Congratulations to the lad. I sincerely hope he makes the best of a wonderful opportunity.
Lovejoy Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 I think King has looked rather decent so far and has earnt this contract. His game is far from complete at this early stage of his career, but he seems to have a good attitude so will get better.
Unabomber Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 King! Been working hard and deserves his place in the team, and his new contract.
