JoeyB Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Quote from another forum about what happened, + the rest of the game: I went to the game and on the whole I was quite disgusted by Leicster City Football Club. Firstly on arrival to the ground, I was told to sit in the seat that is on my ticket, which I have no problem with, however after walking up the stairs into the ground from the concourse beneath I was accused of having some sort of false ticket as Tranmere hadn't sold that many tickets, but anyway thats where my ticket was for so thats where I sat. A good twenty minutes later I was told to move from my seat as they were closing that area of the away end, I asked if I could sit anywhere, and was told yes, so I made my way down to sit next to another few friends. Later, I was then told I was sitting in somebody elses seats, despite earlier being told to sit anywhere I liked! I then asked if I could sit on the next row and was told no, despite there being other people sat there anyway! I then made my way further up the stand and another steward asked "Do you know where your going?" He also thought we could sit anywhere and seemed quite confused as to why I had been moved. I found another seat, and settled there for the game at last. But then, what was even more annoying is that they then re-opened the seats where my ticket was originally for! Absolutely ridiculous, I've never seen such lack of communication between stewards. I was treated like scum, more and more people involved in football are forgetting without the fans there'd be no football at all - some of the idiots who are 'in control' at the grounds need to learn to respect the fans.Furthermore another Tranmere fan had a fit at the game and this resulted in him breaking his ankle, now I do enjoy banter between two sets of fans but theres a time when it can go to far. To sing 'Cheerio' to an elderly man who is clearly not in a good state, after all there were at least 10 medical staff, is absolutely disgusting. It's almost as bad as racism etc., which would definitely not be tolerated. (I hope, then again the stewards at that ground probably wouldn't care.) Moving onto the game I think we outplayed Leicster completely until they scored their first goal, then it became very even, but the second half Leicster completely dominated. Had we put our chances away in the first half we could of quite easily been 3-0 up at one point and it would of been a completely different game, but it wasn't to be. Oh and just a mention for Matty Fryatt, there is no way he should of still been on the pitch after that absolutely disgusting tackle on Andy Taylor. It was late, it was two footed, both feet were off the ground and his stoods were up. Disgusting.

Fox You Forest Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 I can't remember the Matty Fryatt challenge being THAT bad. It was very late but there is no way it was two footed.
lavrentis Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 It was very late but there is no way it was two footed. It was funny just watching the Tranmere fans go bazerk when he did it, other than the goal that was the only time I heard them.
lildave3 Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 A. I don't remember being outplayed. B. Fryatt's tackle didn't seem that bad. C. That'll teach you to never listen to stewards.
