Sods Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Can you get me some more information on this mate? http://www.ntfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/AwayT...,,10425,00.html Look further towards the bottom mate. I didn't realise this was going on to be fair, till my mate said their going to outsing us in 2 weeks. Which will propably happen.

Following requests from fans we have allocated a block of tickets for the 'singing section', if you wish to sit in this area please ask for 'singing section' when buying your tickets. Please note tickets in this area will be available until close of business on Thursday 16th October 2008 (subject to availability). It'd be pretty decent if we did something like that. A little like the N Block idea but away from home. It would solve a lot of the problems about people not sitting in their allocated seats. I'm not sure if the club would agree to it though.
Uncle Albert Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Think I am attending this awayday. Tommeh text me last night so thats the travel sorted. And should give him the moolah tomorrow for a ticket. Should be a laugh and a win.
CosbehFox Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 I know this might sound a bit camp, but cant we have ticket system like Northamptons. They have singing section for aways, basically at the back stood up. I know were bigger than Northampton and all that rubbish. But why are they coming up with better techniques for getting people in the seat they want! It's easy for Northampton though with their smallish travelling support. Any signing section wouldn't take up more than 10 rows and wouldn't go over a couple of blocks. Personally I think in the away end, it's best to have people dotted around anyway. Better to everyone involved than just a few in the corner. The problem for NT was probably they did have enough numbers to have em spread around.
JoeyB Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Im going, dont know where i am tho' as i didnt get my ticket ::
Maybes Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Ched, did you get a reply from the monkeys at the ticket office?

Thats rubbish, when people are dotted around its wank as people sing different songs at different times, and even when they sing the same song its not at the right time because of the echo! The atmosphere would be so much better with one big group leading the songs then the rest of the away support can join in. Its how the do things in Europe ! This would elimate people sitting in the wrong seats and also cause less of a problem with standing. Its common sense at its best!! I really like this idea.

Katy Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 Meaning that singers etc were dotted about everywhere at that game and the atmosphere was still good.

I can see what your saying, but having people dotted around, I dont agree with. This is the main problem we had at the Walkers very early on. Take Sheff United for example, first half. Not the greatest of atmosphere, the singers then moved over to the right hand side. And some say it was the best we had been. Huddersfield I heard only got going when people moved? Cheltenham was poor until we went 3-0 up due to families being at the back and singers at the front. Barnsley away games, Im pretty sure thats this is the best example I can give of people moving to the back creating a much better atmosphere. By the way before some smart arse comes on, if your not in the singing section this dosen't mean you cannot sing or anything like that, to be honest its practically a standing section (however illustrated as a singing section so they cant get done for standing).

It would solve a lot of unnecessary problems. People who want to stand and sing can do so without annoying those that don't want to stand and sing. It shouldn't really be an issue. If you go to football you expect people will sing so it's a bit sad complaining about it when they do.
Floating Fox Posted 10 October 2008 Posted 10 October 2008 The atmosphere was pretty good at Huddersfield to be fair. I disagree. It was probably one of the worst. 2500 fans sat down and shut up all first half, only came to light when our team did. Still it was only about 100 of us on the far right handside that seemed to be making any noise.

Well I don't know where you pair were sitting but it was a noise fest pretty much from the kick off up until they equilised where I was. It must be the luck of the draw. Edit: Obviously the left side was where it was at then. As I said, luck of the draw
