harpendenfox Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 just over a 1,000 sold for the Oldham trip as of this morning. My 12 year old and I are hugly excited about our 7 hour round train trip to Oldham Werneth. My wife, on the other hand, thinks we are utterly mad
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Dont no if we have sold 5 coaches before Genral Sale But generally people who buy tickets before GS are your compulsive hard-dies who generally go by coach. That ain't an awayday IMO but hey's that's not the issue. Whenever City go nearManchester bar Old Trafford or Eastlands, we never take 3k +.
Floating Fox Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Yep. The away fans usually have the smaller section but as we're probably going to take a large following, their season ticket holders who usually sit in the larger section have been moved to the smaller section. This means we'll be in the larger section of the stand. You sure we'll share it? I reckon they might just give us the whole stand? They did so with leeds anyway...
SamL Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 You sure we'll share it? I reckon they might just give us the whole stand? They did so with leeds anyway... That's what I thought, until I saw this on their website:- Latics are reminding supporters of plans to move season ticket holders in the Leesfield Developments Stand to the small section for the upcoming game against Leicester City. The Foxes are expected to bring a large following to Boundary Park for the game, which will take place on Saturday, October 18 (KO 3pm). Therefore, it will be necessary to relocate season ticket holders to the small section of the stand. To enable supporters to sit together when relocated, we will be issuing reserved seating in the small section to all season ticket holders. That seems to suggest we'll just be given the larger section of the stand. The whole stand holds around 4,600 and we've been given 2,800 so that seems to suggest the stand will be shared.

SamL Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Ahh well spotted squire. It should make for some good banter between the home and away fans. I'm really looking forward to this now.

JakeShingler Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Getting my tickets tomorrow morning well exited now. Surely we will sell the allocation
Simi Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Livid. Why is the ticket office so incompetent? I ring up and ask for two tickets as close to the back as possible. Sure said the bloke, you're on row DD. Ticket comes today, row D. Wankers.

I've given up asking for 'near the back', I just rang up to get mine and I'm Row R, slightly better than Row K at 'Udders anyway!

I've sent them an e-mail telling them they're making a mockey out of the plea to get fans to sit in their proper seats.

Sods Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 I know this might sound a bit camp, but cant we have ticket system like Northamptons. They have singing section for aways, basically at the back stood up. I know were bigger than Northampton and all that rubbish. But why are they coming up with better techniques for getting people in the seat they want!

I know were bigger than Northampton and all that rubbish. But why are they coming up with better techniques for getting people in the seat they want! That sounds a much better way of doing things. Obviously the club know who wants to stand and sing, as many have asked to be at the back. I'm not fussed either way, if I have to stand I will do, but the club have sent out messages saying stay in your allocated seat, so surely some common sense should come into it.
Tilley Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 Getting tickets tomorrow. Not getting my hopes up on allocation. 3 to a seat anyone

Tilley Posted 9 October 2008 Posted 9 October 2008 No he doesn't have to be with you. Just tell them his name and you'll be fine. Don't even have to do that do ya? General sale? I'm hoping to get 4 under 16's, they always just put it on one name for me.

I haven't ordered tickets on general sale for a while. I think you could probably get away with just giving the one name then.
