you're in the 'admin clique' :crylaugh: ...ha ha, they're cool nerd.gif

BTW, nice post NSLL, very brave and self-aware, i remeber that you did used to be really annoying for soem reason, but you have definately sorted yourself out since you became NSLL - what were you called before?

How long have you been using my quote? I didn't even know i had written that.

um, since you posted it, i guess... if i remember right, you got indirectly accused of being arrogant or something- i guess it is a bit, but i think it's brilliant

I also agree, there are some proper nobs on here.

Of course there are. But there are knobs in life, it is unavoidable. Everybody here seems nice enough to me, and anyway, I think it would be unfair to judge people I have never met on the basis of what they post on an internet forum. I am not what you would call a regular poster, yet I have never had any issues with any particular individual on here. I sometimes see a post and think it is great, other times I see a post and I think it's bullsh*t. Most people on here post a bit of both. If people don't like certain others on the basis of what they post on here, then that strikes me as a little small minded. If you feel left out of the "clique", either form your own or don't read posts by those who you believe to be part of it. Personally I think it takes a special kind of insecurity to be that bothered that you are not part of a group which consists of people who you have never met, and whm you probably never will.

I have only been posting on here for just over a year.

I found certain 'Clique' members (TPH, Singh, Lisa, etc) to be most welcoming. I have only ever met some people the one time (Dons), and had a brilliant time.

I've yet to meet TPH. :sweating:

Although it has to be said, slightly homo erotic. :giggle:

I love foxestalk for the different types of people. Everybody has a personality, and it is a brilliant way to avoid doing any work all day.

*Ponders handing notice in*.

I'm not quite sure where I mentioned any names apart from Tommy G, and the post was supposed to be kinda light hearted (reading it now), hence the lil bit at the end, in fact I didn't remember posting it until I logged onto the board this morning (I shouldn't come on I guess after a night out!)

It is a case though when one starts its then open country, although I do also enjoy some posts, think there's some silly posts, but a forum creates debate, which is good...I think ill stay away when drunk and just post me tips :) x

OK, I'm going to create a bit of a stir here and maybe this thread is in relation to Tommy G's post's earlier (however I do feel you are a lil insecure - Tommy G that is).

How the hell have you come to any conclusion that I'm insecure becuase I stick up for myself?

At the end of the day this is an internet forum, I actually loved that thread arguing with certain people yesterday. Whatever I do on here people oaren't going to change their minds.

I guess everyone has an 'internet persona' whereas I'm diffferent in 'real life' I guess

Whereas fox123, I've never read any of your posts before, but coming in and saying I'm insecure without ever meeting me is bollocks.

Not true, I'm a big gay poof in real life too.

Personally I disagree. For a start whenever I see someone posting one of their first posts I say welcome...but obviously that's not what you mean.

You talk about this clique....i.e. the regular posters....TPH, Mablo, Ched, LD3 etc...

Would you rather they pretended they didn't know each other?

I think when he says that he means that because they have more posts/they are mods and whatever they think they are more superior than others :dunno:

Who cares.

Lots of people don't get on here. If it's that bad for said person. I'm sure they can just put them on ignore.

The first post suggests that like all newcomers are hated or whatever, but i think you're just generalising it. I doubt any posters on here are 'hated' and in a few examples a few newcomers might get questioned about something or be the subject of a joke or two but that's just life.

I've been on here two years and I've had a lot of stick, but am I going to make a thread to say 'he's picking on me 'cause I'm a newbie'?

I'll give you lots of exapmles.

About a year ago, when I was still technically a newbie, and I'll concur with it actually looking back at some of my posts then....I was a bit of an annoying twat. For a few months I went over the top to try and make every post funny, which was obviously naive and pissed a lot of people off. I think it was Walkers who picked me up on this (and I'm glad looking back that he did), told me that it annoyed him etc and rightfully called me a pr*ck. He didn't make a new thread about it, or PM me, he just replied to one of my posts and said what he thought...I learnt from it. What if he hadn't of done that? I would of just continued to be a pr*ck, unaware it was annoying the tits out of everyone.

I learnt from it...moved on, didn't make a thread about how I wasn't being accepted in the FT world etc 'cause it's bollocks. At the end of the day, it's all banter...If you can't cope with it, then you really don't need to be here.

In my case, there's lots of examples: My whole girlfriend issues/lovelife etc, the Faryl Smith and 'i like 12 year olds, i'm a paedo' thing, the fact that I thought the world was going to end....and there's more blah blah blah. So? I'm not going to cry about it and PM them or make a thread to slag them off.

While I'm on it, some people have said that being younger than most people (sort of 15/16) means you're not taken seriously, people don't listen, people take the piss more etc, which i've never really understood. If this is true, it's only because as the 'younger' ones we make more naive comments...that if not picked up on we'd continue to do.

I don't think anyone can be a regular poster on this forum but never get replied to, or never get picked up on something.

So what if you're not in this 'click'? I'm not, and does it stop me getting along with some people....?

If you can't take banter, and would rather people 'adopt a sence of decorum and humility rather than take the p1ss of those less fortunate, vunerable, excited about current situations' then you're in the wrong forum.

If we all adopted a sense of 'decorum and humility', this might as well be a Jane Eyre book club or something. A lot of people include banter and whatever. It's hardly ever taken that far, or out of context.

In fact, it's only taken far or out of context when the poster subjected to the banter can't take it.

  :D

plus is it still impossible to ignore mods??

They are superior to you.

They can do special things.

Probably a wise move, altho I do agree with original post!

Any tips by the way?

Any chance that rule will ever be changed?

It's a forum default action, I believe... those with the power to moderate the forum should generally not be ignored. At least that's IPB's take on things.

Who's IPB?
