I hope i'm in the Click.

Anyway enough about this shit, we need more threads about pasty faced, long haired types and homo eroticism! Why has this thread not turned into a big gay farce yet!

Is it strokeable

OK, I'm going to create a bit of a stir here and maybe this thread is in relation to Tommy G's post's earlier (however I do feel you are a lil insecure - Tommy G that is).

There is a click on this forum, and I guess rightly so, for those who have been posting on here for a length of time, met up, been home and away with Leicester, however!

I do feel certain people could be a lil more welcoming to new comers, take into consideration not everyone on the board has the intelect of some!

I think some people should adopt a sence of decorum and humility rather than take the p1ss of those less fortunate, vunerable, excited about current situations and most of all show some tact.

Stop trying to get one over on each other.

Yes i am a bit drunk and think your all a bunch of cock-le-nod-wad-slits :)

Tommy G is his own worst enemy, you shouldn't judge others on how people react to him!!

I would like you to clarify your points, because there are many on her new and old tht have varying personalities, no-one should be made to feel unwelcome!!!

Click go the Shears

Out on the board the old shearer stands

Grasping his shears in his long bony hands

Fixed is his gaze on a bare-bellied "joe"

Glory if he gets her, won't he make the ringer go

Chorus

Click go the shears boys, click, click, click

Wide is his blow and his hands move quick

The ringer looks around and is beaten by a blow

And curses the old snagger with the blue-bellied "joe"

In the middle of the floor in his cane-bottomed chair

Is the boss of the board, with eyes everywhere

Notes well each fleece as it comes to the screen

Paying strict attention if it's taken off clean

The colonial-experience man he is there, of course

With his shiny leggin's just got off his horse

Casting round his eye like a real connoisseur

Whistling the old tune "I'm the Perfect Lure"

The tar-boy is there awaiting in demand

With his blackened tar-pot and his tarry hand

Sees one old sheep with a cut upon its back

Here's what he's waiting for "Tar here Jack!"

Shearing is all over and we've all got our cheques

Roll up your swag for we're off on the tracks

The first pub we come to it's there we'll have a spree

And everyone that comes along it's, "Come and drink with me!"

Down by the bar the old shearer stands

Grasping his glass in his thin bony hands

Fixed is his gaze on a green-painted keg

Glory he'll get down on it ere he stirs a peg

There we leave him standing, shouting for all hands

Whilst all around him every shouter stands

His eyes are on the cask which is now lowering fast

He works hard he drinks hard and goes to hell at last

You take off the belly-wool clean out the crutch

Go up the neck for the rules they are such

You clean round the horns first shoulder go down

One blow up the back and you then turn around

Click, click, that's how the shears go

Click, click, so awfully quick

You pull out a sheep he'll give a kick

And still hear your shears going click, click, click

Personally I disagree. For a start whenever I see someone posting one of their first posts I say welcome...but obviously that's not what you mean.

You talk about this clique....i.e. the regular posters....TPH, Mablo, Ched, LD3 etc...

Would you rather they pretended they didn't know each other?

The first post suggests that like all newcomers are hated or whatever, but i think you're just generalising it. I doubt any posters on here are 'hated' and in a few examples a few newcomers might get questioned about something or be the subject of a joke or two but that's just life.

I've been on here two years and I've had a lot of stick, but am I going to make a thread to say 'he's picking on me 'cause I'm a newbie'?

I'll give you lots of exapmles.

About a year ago, when I was still technically a newbie, and I'll concur with it actually looking back at some of my posts then....I was a bit of an annoying twat. For a few months I went over the top to try and make every post funny, which was obviously naive and pissed a lot of people off. I think it was Walkers who picked me up on this (and I'm glad looking back that he did), told me that it annoyed him etc and rightfully called me a pr*ck. He didn't make a new thread about it, or PM me, he just replied to one of my posts and said what he thought...I learnt from it. What if he hadn't of done that? I would of just continued to be a pr*ck, unaware it was annoying the tits out of everyone.

I learnt from it...moved on, didn't make a thread about how I wasn't being accepted in the FT world etc 'cause it's bollocks. At the end of the day, it's all banter...If you can't cope with it, then you really don't need to be here.

In my case, there's lots of examples: My whole girlfriend issues/lovelife etc, the Faryl Smith and 'i like 12 year olds, i'm a paedo' thing, the fact that I thought the world was going to end....and there's more blah blah blah. So? I'm not going to cry about it and PM them or make a thread to slag them off.

While I'm on it, some people have said that being younger than most people (sort of 15/16) means you're not taken seriously, people don't listen, people take the piss more etc, which i've never really understood. If this is true, it's only because as the 'younger' ones we make more naive comments...that if not picked up on we'd continue to do.

I don't think anyone can be a regular poster on this forum but never get replied to, or never get picked up on something.

So what if you're not in this 'click'? I'm not, and does it stop me getting along with some people....?

If you can't take banter, and would rather people 'adopt a sence of decorum and humility rather than take the p1ss of those less fortunate, vunerable, excited about current situations' then you're in the wrong forum.

If we all adopted a sense of 'decorum and humility', this might as well be a Jane Eyre book club or something. A lot of people include banter and whatever. It's hardly ever taken that far, or out of context.

In fact, it's only taken far or out of context when the poster subjected to the banter can't take it.

An excellent post, you are certianly a credit to our age generation as a poster said that he was plesantly surpised how intellegent some of the youth are

However I have to disgaree on certian posts, older posters would be emotionally mature to know all of the ribbing they get is good nature and I agreed that when I first joined I got loads of stick when everyone thought I was Ash17LCFC then when I changed it to ChickenBoy but I feel if you are 14,15 or 16 whatever and joining a new forum when someone said something in the jest they would be unsure what they really mean by that as they won't be emotionally mature. It happened to me when I first joined as a different user name when I was about 15

I also agreed there are a certian posters that know other each in real life so thus having an inside joke etc I don't find any offence with it as they are allowed to know other each and have an inside joke blah blah thats life I would do same if i know anyone here.I felt that these so called "elite group" is also fair and considerable to others posters's views and will answer to it if its worth to replying to.

I'm bit unsure about your Walkers point, I'm sure that poster is a nice guy and I never met him so I won't judge him but its bit tactless to call someone a **** espically if they are a newbie and unsure whether it is in jest or not.

I'm nice to anyone apart from those who (through jealousy) have to make personal jibes at my expense.

On this forum, I was surprised to find that it is actually the 'older' members and not the teenagers who are quickly happy to resort to personal abuse.

Nussul - you're alright mate.

Take a bow, son.

As you keep telling us, Singh is King.

Only thing I see is when there is a thread and certain people post, other people will quote them and ask them something totally unrelated to the topic, then others will join in and the topic gets, well, pointless and off topic :huh:

Thats the only bit I enjoy actually in most cases I find talking about Leicester rather boring, but start chatting random rhetoric about your favourite biscuits or under-rated liquor combinations & I'm all ears or eyes in this case!!!

I can do them all except the bottom right one. We've already established that Annie gets freaked out by my elbows that bend the wrong way.

To be honest, I think my elbows lock straight. Carl disagrees and calls me a freak.

I'm hoping this thread turns out a little light hearted, it wasn't meant to come across as it did, like i say drunken moment!

Tommy G i apologise for being judgemental that was wrong!

There's been some valid points raised, some debatable some not, and maybe I was a lil quick to judge...some points I stand by.

I have no doubt majority on here are decent people off line and like I say maybe one day ill meet up for a beer with a few, I may even cross paths with some on the football field (when they eventually get into the Alliance Premier League  )

All in all some lessons learned and some points taken on board thank you all

Thats so true. When i first came to this site, all i wanted to talk about was Leicester. But now i find i rarely go into the Leicester forum apart from after games and during transfer windows/exciting periods etc... I find myself in general chat most of the time, and i love the randomness.

Exactly, all hail inoffensive nonsense & this forums king of it TPH! *thumb up* (I still can't get the side panel with emoticons etc to work)

Thats rubbish.

I joined in febuary, knowing no one.

But you just get talking to people, see them at away games, and know who they are.

& I'm sure by the end of the season I would have met some good mates from off here.

A clique not making others welcome

People take the banter far too seriously.

I hereby accept my third and final invitation into The Clique.

Why not?

You could be in the click with The Fonz, much cooler than the clique

Too late, your place has gone, better luck next time!!

The offer doesn't just expire Dr!

They were practically begging on their knees, so I thought I'd throw them a bone.
