dandannieldanok Posted 24 October 2008 Posted 24 October 2008 Just goes to show the rapid decline of Dutch football though doesn't it? Very much so, I think the better teams like Ajax have suffered from an uncompetitive league. I don't really know much about the Eredivisie but the commentator said last night Ajax had scored over 90 goals yet still hadn't won the league, says a lot about the quality of the opposition for me.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Not sure which game to watch tonight; Man City-FC Twente or Slavia Prague-Aston Villa. What is everybody else watching?

lildave3 Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 What a start, cracking build up and decent finish. 1-0 City.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Was it just me or did I hear chants of "only one Steve McClaren" from the Twente fans?
lildave3 Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Was it just me or did I hear chants of "only one Steve McClaren" from the Twente fans? I thought that too! Carew has scored for Villa.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 I'd like to know who was responsible for scouting Jo, £20m He's mediocre at best.
Darkzzz_ Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Twente fans really love " Super Mac" Good result for Spurs tonight, Milan only just scraped past Braga.
Joe. Posted 6 November 2008 Posted 6 November 2008 Bloody hell, the impact Redknapp's had has been phenomenal. Nice to see Bent grabbing a hat-trick.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 November 2008 Posted 7 November 2008 Milan. Flukey bastards. They really were. But a great goal to be fair from Ronaldinho.
CosbehFox Posted 7 November 2008 Posted 7 November 2008 Watched a cracking game between Lech and Nancy. Jammy frenchies got a draw at the end. Immense atmosphere and it clearly affected the players, they went hell for leather in terms of attacking. First half was just manic.
purpleronnie Posted 7 November 2008 Posted 7 November 2008 Bloody hell, the impact Redknapp's had has been phenomenal. Nice to see Bent grabbing a hat-trick. Good timing thats all. I had the biggest bet of this year on spurs beating bolton they would have done that with or without redknapp. Then getting a 4-4 draw at a far from impressive arsenal who are leaking goals (they lost to stoke next game). Then a last minute winner against liverpool a game they should have lost 4/5 - 1. And then last night a good win but against a very average european team. No doubt he's a good manager but I'm sure Ramos or anyone for that matter would have got the same results.

Floating Fox Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 I'd like to show my appreciated of Gala fans to foxestalk. 35'000 fans in Berlin outnumbered home fans The other night. Amazing. Zagreb fans got up to their usual trouble. The threw flares and smoke bombs onto the pitch at Undinese, the players had to be brought off. Zagreb players tried to plead with the fans only to get things thrown at them too! ****ing Nutters. Zagreb will probably get banned for that, or no away fans. Closed home games etc. Anyway, last night I went to Villa vs MSK Zilina..We decided to go in the away end! :w00t: What a quality night. Their support wasn't properly bonkers like PSG but it was pretty good. Had to keep a reasonably low profile as we didn't want any trouble off their nutters. I'll update with pictures and videos on my blog soon. Can't believe they beat Villa though. Thought they actually played some good stuff at times although Villa deserved a point. Got on TV as well!
lildave3 Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 35,000?! I thought you said 5 on the phone! **** me!

Zagreb players tried to plead with the fans only to get things thrown at them too! Probably wasn't that funny, but still... Wish I was one of these continental types, home games might be fun then.

CosbehFox Posted 5 December 2008 Posted 5 December 2008 Astounding, 35,000 is crazy for an away game, especially in a different country. I wouldn't have been an away game for most of them though. The biggest second nationality in Germany is Turkish. There's a fair few Turkish/German teams in the German pyramid system. http://www.tuerkiyemspor.info/ - look here them guys are in the fourth division from Berlin. Still some going though....
Floating Fox Posted 6 December 2008 Posted 6 December 2008 Who did you go with? Ramp and Brinner. Dave bottled it. You think you can throw some new stuff with the Zilina pics when I get them up? Like something similar to what I have but with some Zilina ones thrown in for banters sake? I'd stick them up now but I've got batracer to do 'cus Dave didn't look after my account and apparently we're meeting in the pub for half 11  Clearly got no chance of being awake by then!
Floating Fox Posted 7 December 2008 Posted 7 December 2008 Yus, where you putting the picturs? Blog mate. Can't to it now. ****ed. Will do soon
