DJ CAMPBELL

I know im in the minority but as a 28yr old fella I still like and want DJ to do well.

You watch his body language when Fryatt scores our 2nd v Orient

Whilst everyone else wheels away with delight - DJ (disappointed in not taking his chance himself or not having the break of luck) automatically puts his head into his hands.

Shows quite a sad figure in my eyes.

Not sure why he was left out and this looks like another season that passes him by.

I want him to do well, he just needs more than ten bloody minutes.

He needs that elusive first goal, & last night was the perfect opportunity for him.

Where was he?

Whilst he has not been at his best for a long time, he did have a positive impact when he came on against Orient. I think his body language after Fryatts goal was more to do with him getting tangled up with the ball just yards away from scoring himself. At the match, I thought he had missed a sitter, but the replay suggests it didn't fall to kindly for him.

I agree, last night would have been a good oppertunity for him to get some match practice. He does have something to offer the first team as and when his confidence returns. Why Pearson went for Craig King over DJ (or even Dickov if he was fit) is beyond me.

DJ will come good for Leicester this season I can feel it in my bones. There will be an injury to Howard or Fryatt and DJ will get a good run in the side and show us why we spent abit of money on him.

His pace and agility will scare defenders in this League horrid. I would love to see Howard and Campbell given 90 minutes together just to see what they can do.

I'd like to see Campbell and Fryatt like we did Saturday. Fryatt's more than capable of holding it up, it's just that quite often he prefers to dribble past 5 men into a poor position and unleash a weak shot. He looks less greedy lately, although even Saturday he shot from a shit angle with DJ (I think) making a run in acres of space.

But if theres no end product then it means nothing.

Agreed DJ can do a job, & has talent he just needs a goal.

He also looks as if he really wants to play, something that I can not say about some 1st teamers at present.

I can't ever see DJ "coming good" with us if I'm honest. He's looked good in his last two substitute appearances from what I've seen/heard but he's never going to cement a regular first team place down ahead of Fryatt, Howard or Dickov in my opinion.

I don't expect to see him here past next summer, possibly January even.

I noticed that too, he's so low on confidence right now it's unreal.

Once he gets one, hopefully he'll start getting a few more.

I didnt say drop Fryatt right away did I?

Campbell and Howard would scare defenders shitless and I dont think defenders are scared by Fryatt that much because he hasnt got lightning pace compared to DJ.

I think that's a little harsh - especially compared to last season

You wouldn't think that if you'd been to the last two home games, which have been as dire as anything witnessed at home last season.

Once Campbell gets on the scoresheet again, his form and confidence will improve. If it can happen for Fryatt, there's no reason why it can't happen for him too.

rather than feel sorry for this guy he needs to do something positive to prove he is good enough.

his transfer fee and 'reputation' clearly means nothing unless he takes the chances he gets . which he hasnt.

he has a lot to prove
