Daggers Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Yes it is, and he's apologising for being a twat. Apoloy not accepted Raj. Apology not accepted.
JakeShingler Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 So was it NP idea to cancel the Colchester game?
Hullfox Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 So was it NP idea to cancel the Colchester game? No, the pitch was waterlogged.
purpleronnie Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Standing is not allowed by law Simply not true, it is against ground regulations not the law. If it were against the law, then the police would be arresting fans in the thousands!!
Jimmy Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 regarding the goal music, we could always try a vocal protest at home games, I think most people haven't really thought about the issue but if asked would want rid and would probably join in, especially as CD is used by at least 15 clubs
Fosse Boy Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 regarding the goal music, we could always try a vocal protest at home games, I think most people haven't really thought about the issue but if asked would want rid and would probably join in, especially as CD is used by at least 15 clubs Think a visual protest may be more effective, I'd happily join in with any protest about that bag of wank but sadly I don't think it'll make the club change their ways. What riles me is that in five to ten years, youngsters the same age as my brother will begin to regard it as 'our song', when it's patently unindividualistic, mechanical and above all, unnecessary in the heat and intensity of goal celebration. At that point in time I shall have to smash people round the head with a cricket bat...
Ultra Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 "AO" is not listed in the programme as a club employee. Although he's attracted a fair amount of flak, all of which is entirely deserved, it would appear that a few other participants at the meeting might have given him support. They too should be named and shamed. Presumably these minutes will be raised at the next meeting. If the club HAS to play goal music, couldn't it at least find something different to that played at Cov or Forest?

He also got the sack from Everton when their kit was late into the club shop. That would never happen here.

davieG Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 We always seem to have at least one dubious character at LCFC I wonder if other clubs suffer the same fate as I suspect with all the money in football, seemingly unaccounted for in many instances attracts them!
5waller5 Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I think the strategy is to alienate all but those in the plush seats and the family enclosure. If that's the strategy then it's failed as well - i sit in the plush seats and don't want goal music!!!
demon_dog Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Celebrate with the people around me when we score, but when the music comes on I just switch off and stand there with my arms folded. Can't we simply go back to the good old days and let the fans celebrate in their own way. I looked round on Saturday and the number of people dancing around to the music was simply embarrassing. Especially us older ones! Get rid of the music it's more fun. Or is it that I'm getting old!

Raj Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Don't. You know what happened last time.Actually, I think you should. It would divert attention away from me..... For some people at the meeting (Or specifically ONE!!!!!) even dancing bears wouldnt be enough to divert attention away from you!!!
