lildave3 Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Not sure, but I don't think there was anything he could change today. As poor as the front two were I don't think King would have offered more. Would have been an ideal game for Dickov to come on.
Milky Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Good Question! Certainly not under Adams-itis.
Joe. Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Poor Bruno was all ready to come on as well...

Don't get me wrong I was pleased as I doubt it would have improved things in fact I'd say it could have been a major distraction. I see he had Berner ready to come on for the last few minutes but seemed to, thankfully change his mind.
Thracian Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 When was the last game we didn't use any? It's rare indeed. But I wasn't surprised. Although the team was becoming collectively knackered anything that interferred with their rhythm might well have prompted a mistake and the chance of an equaliser. Especially from that James Brown bloke. One of the best opposition players I've seen so far.
DB11 Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I think he should have put Dyer up front and brought Berner on for Howard then play Berner on the left.
Asha Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Are both Campbell and Dickov injured or something?
lildave3 Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Are both Campbell and Dickov injured or something? Looks that way.
Webbo Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Are both Campbell and Dickov injured or something? I think Campbell has the same bug as Howard.
clazkel Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I think he should have put Dyer up front and brought Berner on for Howard then play Berner on the left. Thats exactly what i said with 15 mins to go, i think Dyer would do well up front, or Adams if someone could play on the right (Berner said he can play anywhere)
Anish Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 It was a shame that both DJ and Dickov were out. The game was crying out for a bit of pace to stretch Hartlepool's defence (like Dyer did all game), and DJ would have been ideal. I'm sure Dickov would've done better with the chances that Fryatt had too.

Yeah id agree with that , movement was 1st class with a decent brain , most of his teamates wernt on the same page as him
Tilley Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 We missed... DEEEEEEEEEEJJJJJJJJJJJAAAAAAYYYY.

I agree that it was ashame Dickov and DJ were out but would Dickov have got in the positions that Fryatt did to be able to create the chances!

Sods Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Think Pearson was waiting for that second goal to bring on King.
davieG Posted 30 September 2008 Author Posted 30 September 2008 Two games now that surely is a record that goes back a long long way?
davieG Posted 30 September 2008 Author Posted 30 September 2008 Is that two90 mins with the same 11?? Yes which must be another record from way back!
Thracian Posted 30 September 2008 Posted 30 September 2008 Two games now that surely is a record that goes back a long long way? I real like this characteristic of his. If things are working he doesn't tinker for tinkering's sake. He simply seems to stay focused on what's required for winning.

Jimmy Posted 30 September 2008 Posted 30 September 2008 I can see the same 11 starting Saturday - pity I can't make it. it might be too much for someone like Howard to last another full 90 in such a short space of time
JoeyB Posted 30 September 2008 Posted 30 September 2008 it might be too much for someone like Howard to last another full 90 in such a short space of time Howard will be alright! I could see it Affecting Powell, but not Howard
