If they were offering a free postal service given that many of us live over an hour (or more) away, then fine. If not...the marketing department will have to expect more backlash!

That's right. I'm going to beat the credit crunch my spending £35 on petrol to get to Leicester. This better not count as one of our "Monthly benefits"

Edit: I've just noticed it applies online too. Seems they've learnt something from last time at least

On-line purchases are great if they are offering free delivery. Otherwise, delivery costs can negate the 'exclusive' discount offered!

Having had a quick look on the OS and on-line shop, I cannot determine if free delivery is still being offered as it was at the site launch.

Does anyone know anything different?

I had a quick look and I think it said that free delivery was being offered until the 10th, conveniently ending just before this sale so the chances of you saving anything are minimal. Thank you Leicester City.

I really am thinking of getting a season ticket just so I can take advantage of these fantastic monthly offers in the megastore.

I swear they are doing it on purpose.

I can imagine the conversations at marketing meetings...

Marketing Guru #1 "Right, now we've got their money and saved a fortune on producing season ticket books made from used condoms, how else can we stitch them up?"

Marketing Guru #2 "I know boss, let's get them to come down the Walker's to collect 'em themselves. That'll save a fortune on postage."

Marketing Guru #1 "That's a good idea. And, those lazy b*stards that can't be bothered, we'll put them in 48th class post. That'll teach 'em!"

Marketing Guru #2 "I've had another idea boss."

Marketing Guru #1 "What? Two ideas in one day? We don't do that in this department...you've got a lot to learn. Well, I suppose you should tell me anyway."

Marketing Guru #2 "The pre-season Brum game isn't looking good attendance wise. Why not show 'em what its like to sit on our comfy seats? We've got to open the stand anyway. Give 'em a taste of where we sit week in week out. Might even make them upgrade their seat for the season."

Marketing Guru #1 " I see I'm gonna have to give you a bonus with all these ideas. If they upgrade, that'll be more money for the office party. Also, we could nick Pearson's team sheet, run it through the photocopier and still charge a tenner a pop! Loverly juberly!"

Marketing Guru #2 "Boss, boss, you'll never guess what. I've got another plan. Why not offer them 20% discount on club tat rather than the normal 10%?"

Marketing Guru #1 "Are you ****ing crazy! Give them more!"

Marketing Guru #2 "Yeah but let's do it when there isn't a game on and the place is deserted. It won't even cross their tiny footballing minds."

The meeting is interupted as a disgruntled Peter Jones walks in.

Peter Jones "Listen boys, you need to help me out. My inbox is full with aggresive messages from one of those football supporter things. He doesn't give his name but I think he's got a dagger. Apparently you lot have promised exciting monthly benefits to him and his gang. Sort it out whilst I'm busy burying my head up my arse".

Marketing Guru #2 "What are we gonna do boss? I'm spent. I can't think of anything else to fleece 'em".

Marketing Guru #1 "Don't panic, there must be somthing we can blag. For starters, are there any other matches we can call off?"

Marketing Guru #2 "Yes boss, Andy King & Nicky Adams miss home and wouldn't mind spending some one on one time with their favourite sheep. Also Tunchev has a casting for 'Terminator 6 - Rise of the Centre Backs' on the 11th October. We could call Yeovil and tell them we're washing our hair that day."

Marketing Guru #1 "Right, cancel the match whilst I knock-up another sale. We're better at these sales than DFS. Also, as Pearson isn't doing anything at the moment, tell him to get his sorry arse in here on the 23rd October and talk to these supporter thingy's. Tell him to wear a stab vest. That bloke with the dagger might show."

Dear Season Ticket holder,

We at the club would just like to take this opportunity to write to you to say fuck you very much for your continued support of the club despite our drop into the third tier for the first time in our history. We really appreciate that mugs like you are quite rare and so we are doing all we can to see how much we can piss you off before you say "bollocks to this, I'm not buying another one".

Davie, if we take our ST book to the next home match, do we still get free entry, like for the Hartlepool match?

Only if you have a voucher that matches the one displayed at the turnstile - Ooh the excitement!

I don't get what people are expecting. I keep getting repeatedly reminded of our 3rd div status in other threads yet people in here are still moaning that these offers aren't good enough when they seem perfectly honest and decent. We're not Chelsea or Man Utd and can afford to give away masses of flags, scarves e.t.c. I'm not a ST holder personally but if I was I wouldn't be too disappointed about this offer at all. And as for the thought that this might be out of reach for some ST holders, it is complete nonsense. ST holders manage to get to the Walkers every other saturday so why not this particular saturday (we would have had a game barring internationals anyway).

Because any saving will be used up in transport costs.

What's wrong with having it when we're playing at home?

They simple don't want people to take it up that's why - making it dishonest!

True, but I think some people are taking their grievances a little too seriously. The idea of a ST is to simply gain entry at every home game for less than the price of normal tickets, not in the hope of extra benefits. I understand that the club have openly offered these and glossed over the actual benefits which aren't great, but they seem pretty reasonable to me. Correct me if i'm wrong, but they haven't bunged on an extra £20 to the ST's because of these benefits.

Agreed. This is what happens when Leicester fans don't have any on the field matters to moan about for once.

I think all we're looking for is some integrity, Pearson has brought it to the playing side it would be nice if the club could now do the same in their dealings with the fans.

There's been hardly a whisper about these exclusive benefits and yet under pressure they produce a list of previous benefits* already delivered that were not identified as part of the ST benefits scheme when offered.

*such as price reductions for JPT matches which where available to the opposition so where hardly exclusive to LCFC ST holders.

As I say the whole thing is underhand, dishonest and an act of desperation.

Exactly.

I have emails from Jones admitting the club dropped a bollock over this - and then he suddenly claims that all of these wank things formed part of May's promise...a 180 degree turnaround from previous statements.
