Anyone interested in an experiment?

I started doing it at work and got strange looks (possibly because I'm naked).

I'll do it later when I'm at home (naked).

Will being naked enhance it?

Funny you should say that, yes it is likely to enhance it as the are energy toxins (often from clothes, chemicals etc) that can hamper the process. So in the buff is a good thing. I tend not to tell my clients that though incase they think i'm trying to kop a look at their twat.

I'll give that a go later, I'll feel quite daft doing it at work though.

Also do this as well.

Get some of your favourite food whatever it is. Really make yourself want to eat it, have a sniff of it, even take a very small nibble and on a scale of 0 - 10 assess how much you want to eat that right now. (0 being you don't want to eat it and 10 being you want to smash the shit out of it right now)

Then you say ' Even though I have this craving and I really want to eat............ (whatever it is) I deeply and completely accept myself. x 3

Tap on all the points around the face and collar bone, under arm, whilst saying ' this.... (whatever it is) craving '

Once you have done that, re-assess the number. if it has come down, but isn't a 0, then do the procedure again but change the wording to ' even though i still have some of this craving for..... I deeply and completely accept myself ' the reminder phrase would be ' this remaining.... (whatever it is) craving.

Then re-assess the intensity level.

Continue until the craving has completely gone.

will this treatment cure me of my gullibility towards charlatan cures ?

Yes my friend, there's no reason why not. Give it a go. Just put it in to words the 'issue'

Do the set up and then the sequence and see how you go.

Follow the basics in the first post about the tapping.

F ucking hell. No shit...I went to see a hypnotist yesterday! It was round his house in Knighton btw. Went sleep last night with the CD he gave me.

He made me laugh when he told me to close my eyes then did the disclaimer bit about operating machinery and driving whilst listening to the CD. :giggle:

I think it was money well spent. I'm feeling quite chilled at the moment. I'd be up for a bit of self hypnotherapy.

BTW, I've got an exam tomorrow at 10, that's why I went.

Read your first post with interest, Ric. May give this a go but will tackle something smaller, like a pain, first before I try it on any emotional 'issues', I think.

One question: what if you really struggle with saying "...I deeply and completely accept myself" with any kinda conviction? I only had to read it - let alone try saying it out loud - for a voice in my head to kick in saying, "no you don't... not at all".

Would I have to work on that negativity first, or should I just get on with it and try to disregard those feelings? :ermm:

Genuine question as I'm already sensing I'm too insecure to give this a proper go.

I'd want to give this ago, for help with the confidence thing.

I've just tried it and didn't notice anything, trying again when I've got more time and I'm not in a towel.

Flair. Unbelievably this actually works and for last night at least, my foot was 'cured'.

It now really hurts again. What's happened? Do I need to repeat the process every day?

Also, as suggested Ric, I did it naked. Naked as a jay bird, whatever that means... and I assume they are naked, unless Woolworths have started doing Jay bird clothes these days.

I'm glad you raised that point, this comes up quite a bit with some people. I used that choice of phrase as it's the most common, but for some people it doesn't feel natural to say it and therefore can hamper the process. So what i'd say is change that part of the set up to something that feels more natural for you like ' even though I have this..... I am a good person ' or ' I forgive myself even though I have this........ '

Obviously the fact you don't feel comfortable with that original phrase would suggest there are a few issues there you could work through, which in a way is good as it means you have something to focus on. I wouldn't ignore those feelings, I suggest working on those and then assess everything else afterwards as in a lot of cases, if you work on the present issues it can collpase a lot of the other issues that you couldn't quite put your finger on.

Let me know if you want any help in terms of phrases, etc.

What's happened is that it's proven that the pain you are experiencing is not entirely real. It's real in the fact that it hurts and your body is telling you that, but it's also showing that there's an emotional reason that's aggrivating the pain and we need to either focus on that or by repetition, try and smash it to pieces over a period of time without getting to the nitty gritty. Whatever you feel better doing? I suggest doing this technique on the pain, at least twice a day or whenever you notice the pain coming back.

If you get any thoughts, feelings, memories, etc crop up whilst you do this that you feel might be significant then tell me as this might give us some clues as to what might be troubling the maestro!

Safe.

Good lad! Let me know if you want any info on mastering self hypnosis. I suggest you learning this EFT technique as well because it's quicker than hypnosis and you can administer it anywhere!

Thank Ric, tried it...no change, but will give it a shot over the next few days :)

May I ask what you have tried it on? Let me know if you want any help with getting more specific to the issue as that can sometimes hamper the effectiveness.

I probably associate the injury with the crushing defeat during which it was sustained.

How long have you had this injury? And also, if you are ever stressed or feeling run down, is there any places you get pain?

Posted
I sustained this particular injury on Tuesday night, but thinking about it... it's a recurring thing and is part of the reason I stopped playing football before.

Just keep tapping over the weekend and let me know if it keeps coming back or if it moves to another part of your body. Sounds like you have a weakness in your foot, but I still think EFT will allow you to remove the pain for good, it's just fine tuning the procedure to work out what's possibly causing it.

We'll discuss this more next week if it hasn't subsided for longer than a few hours.

This is probably something I could be interested in Ric.

I shall be giving it a go sometime

Good stuff, let me know if you need anymore info.

A friend of mine needs to work out more. Would this help (my friend) get off his lazy arse and stop putting it off?

Yes it would.

Get them to do the tapping, whilst using the set up ' even though I don't like exercise and i'm lazy, I deeply and completely accept myself '

The remidner phrase when tapping on the various parts around the body would be ' I don't like exercise and i'm lazy '

Plus get them to do a round of tapping saying ' even though I should work out more, I deeply and completely accept myself '

Reminder phrase would be ' Need to work out more '

Alright, I'll give it a try...I mean get him to try it later! Thanks, I'll let you know how it works.
