Floating Fox Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Ok so here are the rules: Each team will have a manager. The managers are Me, Matt, Chris, Jovan & Martin. The rest of you joining will be up for buying & bidding. Each team manager can approach another driver (Pm on here and/on batracer) and offer him/her 'x' amount per race. There are 24 Races in the season, so beware of this. It is then up to the driver as to which team they wish to sign for. Each team recieves a budget of $300m, and the chassis/engine/tyres combination are free (i.e they have no impact on the budget). All team managers will recive PM's with the game details so they can set their team up. Let the bidding for drivers begin. Here is the price list. Remember you will need to sign two drivers. Any new driver, or one without a drive from previous seasons is available for free. Once a driver agrees to sign for a team, he Cannot go back on his word. (Compensation must be paid by the team in this case) Paul Hills $75m Johnny Matthews $60m Alex Cook $50m Fi Ridgewell $48m Ashley Jupp $39m Daniel Cox $30m Ben Stapleford $30m Damon Fleming $25m Adrien Shen $24m Jake Shingler $3m The amount you pay your driver must be made public, so that the money can be deducted from the budgets. Prize money is awarded for each race win, the teams championship and the drivers championship. They money will be carried onto the next series too (That is if this is sucsessfull and works!!!) A team with a sponser will also recieve a bonus. Not sure if i've missed anything. Any questions just ask! Hopefully this works and provides something a little different & interesting
Asha Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Just wondering with the driver wage, what can we erm...do with this?
Floating Fox Posted 13 October 2008 Author Posted 13 October 2008 Just wondering with the driver wage, what can we erm...do with this? The more you are paid, the more your valued at next season....If you get me. Theres not much else I can think of that drivers could do with the wage really?
shen Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 Wow, my price has risen sharply! And how do teams bid for drivers? Do they have to bid the amount shown next to each driver + an amount 'x' for every race?

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but wouldn't an increase valuation be a bad thing? I.e. possibly overpriced, less affordable for the next season. Not moaning or anything I appreciate the idea, just trying to understand how it works really.

potter3 Posted 13 October 2008 Posted 13 October 2008 We should have done an auction type thing Ohh most valuable
Floating Fox Posted 13 October 2008 Author Posted 13 October 2008 Do we have to pay their fee + the wages for each race? Can you explain what you mean about the sponsors please.. If you have a sponser on your livery then you will see Surprise.. Yeah, fee + the wages per race. So for Hills $75m + say $1m Per race = $99m over the season.
Floating Fox Posted 13 October 2008 Author Posted 13 October 2008 Wow, my price has risen sharply! And how do teams bid for drivers? Do they have to bid the amount shown next to each driver + an amount 'x' for every race? You should get a PM from a manager asking you to drive for them. You can try to get more money out of them, or if your desperate to drive for a certain team, then you can offer your services cheaply. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but wouldn't an increase valuation be a bad thing? I.e. possibly overpriced, less affordable for the next season. Not moaning or anything I appreciate the idea, just trying to understand how it works really. Hmm Good point. Any ideas what the money could be used for? I just thought that if a driver was paid more it would increase his rep...? I'm in heavy negotiations. Blackmail I've also added links to each drivers profile on here.
