Well done India.

Meanwhile the aussies will struggle in the forthcoming series with South Africa, which will set them up nicely for the Ashes next summer. :)

Judging from the england result not quite sure about that.

What was the final result? I last saw when we were 50-8? I assume we were given a right royal spanking  ?

We got the kiwis first and will win 2 nil or 3 nil and then we will beat the Saffas easily aswell

Just as pre season results in football mean nothing, neither do warm up games in cricket.

Looking forward to England and India love watching spinners at work.

Ashley Giles and Phil Tufnel  :w00t:

Neither can do the Monty shuffle.

Warney can bowl, drink, smoke and sledge at the same time tho.

Monty has big hands and you know what they say about a bloke with big hands

What do you think of Monty as a bowler?

Feilding and batting aside he doesn't do a lot wrong with the ball. He has a very good average and very consitent line and length an exeptional strike rate aswell. Only issue i can see is in time when people have him figured i don't think he has the bowling smarts as a Warne or Habijhan or Kumble to wear a batsmen down over a long period of time and create the nessicary pressure. But i think he is a very good bowler and i think he should also be an automatic selection in the ODI's aswell.

If England hold it together relatively well over the next 6 months and keep Harmison and Flintoff fit and focused, Ashes '09 will be very interesting indeed.

It's only our bowling that is th issue but it's being based on a tour to India where we have always struggled

Well done to the Indians. We've got a tough tour over there now, and the Aussies will desperately want to win the Ashes next year. Two successive defeats in England will not make the players very popular.
