Guest Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 I wish i was cool enough to know everyone on here so i'd get my own song, ahhhh maybe one day You can sing anything by Tammy Wynette, if you like.
Thracian Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 May I ask why Thrac? Although the song celebrates winning it also represents the joy of football as expressed by the waving of scarves by everyday fans in the stands. Your goals did much to help the Under 21's win the only championship that matters ( ) - victory over the over 21s - but the reference also reflects the joy of football thing, the positive way you play, the commitment you have and the support you give whether it's a friendly at Quorn or a footballing outpost like Accrington in the rain. Think of it as an image thing - as in a book of photographs. It's the song title portrayal really of a person who loves his football. Well, you did ask!

skinnydipper Posted 10 December 2012 Author Posted 10 December 2012 BUMP. As the personnel on this site have changed since it was last done I thought I'd give it a fresh airing Some suggestions for this year's bash 1) Spherical/Flowwolf duet - because we know that you love each other really - Why Don't We Live Together by The Pet Shop Boys 2) Lamby/RedHux duet - for supporting the wrong team - Sad Old Red by Simply Red 3) Daggers - for losing his Mojo - Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by The Smiths 4) Davie G - for sensible posts from one of the "senior" members of the board - Justified And Ancient by the KLF 5) Moose/Bunk etc - for services to Wumming - Spread Yo Shit by Obie Trice 6) Finners/Foxy duet - for a professed love that can never work as Finners hates the accent and Foxy doesn't bleat - Tainted Love by Soft Cell 7) Webbo -for growing into his role as a Mod - I Am The Law by Human League 8) Leicesterpool - to help him cope with Ennis rejection - Love On The Rocks by Neil Diamond 9) Nightguard/Rincewind - re the ongoing search for employment - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For by U2 10) Zingari/Empty - because all is not as it seems - Just An Illusion/Mad Wiorld medley by Imagination/Tewars For Fears More suggestions required for the playlist.
