jaspal1000 Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1430633,00.html Great stuff. Good for links with local people of leicester, and its good to know our academy is branching out further abroad. Top stuff.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 "The huge crowd that gathered" "in front of 100 people" Geez that is a huge crowd
Thracian Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 If it involves Keith Vaz you can keep it, thanks.
Jimmy Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 if this gets us 1 or 2 prospects then great otherwise its just fairly cheap PR
DB11 Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 It was supposed to be the LCFC Academy U14s going, but they didn't want to. Instead they held trials and if you were in the right age group you could have gone and then they picked ya if you were good.
Ross-Kemp Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Done for publicity. Thats why Keith "I'm a cvnt" vaz went.
syston_fox Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 if this gets us 1 or 2 prospects then great otherwise its just fairly cheap PR I think this wasn't actually done so much as a PR stunt but to just strengthen the link and offer a great opportunity to a young footballer who probably wouldn'thave got the chance any other way. And to be fair this has all been kept fairly low key in that there was only a small story about it on our own website that could easily have been missed in the build up to the Northampton game.
Father Ted Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 If it involves Keith Vaz you can keep it, thanks.
Unit Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 If it involves Keith Vaz you can keep it, thanks. Agreed, he's a fooking idiot.
mobi Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 Again agreed. Keith Vaz....P lonka!! I understand the concept with strengthening the links with India, however I don't think we will gain anything from the efforts. Good intentions though.
Webbo Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 This is all about selling more shirts in India, and what's wrong with that?
Daggers Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 This is all about selling more shirts in India, and what's wrong with that? Because they are made there in sweat shops for 20 rupees and sold back for £40 plus postage?
mobi Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 I highly doubt our shirts are being sold in India. Our shirts are barely being sold outside Leicester in the UK (apart from the website). In fact I know they are not being sold there. The only shirts you will get there are the top four and mainly MUFC of those. Waist of time in my opinin. Should do more work in Afrca IMO.
