They still have the quality in the team to warrant a much better position than they're in. Pavlyuchenko's no mug either, but having said that, I don't exactly recall any signings from the Russian league impressing in England...

They could have implemented a new management structure with Ramos as the top man, but it doesn't seem to be the way they want to play it.

He has probably had his time as far as the FA are concerned. More likely he will be thinking that with a club with a good amount of money and a Europe wide reputation that he could attract the players to take him into the Champion's League.
