Ramos Sacked - Redknapp Replaces Him.

Why are they going for Redknapp, I thought they would of gone for someone more glamorous.

Not taking anything away from Harry as I do rate him.

Vast experience in English football management I'd imagine. It's crucial for Spurs at a time like this, and they don't want another Ramos reign on their hands.

I guess if anyone can save Spurs, it's Redknapp. He will have told the Spurs chairman that he's in charge and no-one else may interfere if he's to take over. Redknapp knows how to get his way with chairmen history shows...

He should stay at Portsmouth. He has built a brilliant squad there who have the capability of finishing top 6. Rather than Tottenham who are gonna be like we were last season. Few dodgy results and he could be booted as well. Spurs's problem is there is no balance in the team. No left-winger, no holding midfielder, and no height or strength in the team. They've got a tiny team in Bent, Pavy, Modric, Bentley, Lennon, Jenas etc. They need a big strong striker like Berba or Adebayor (not them obviously but of that mould) and a holding player. Harry would probably be able to sort Spurs out in January if he was given a wad of cash but doing that didn't help us last season. It's great to look at another team and see them pissing away money and being generally farcical.

They still have the quality in the team to warrant a much better position than they're in. Pavlyuchenko's no mug either, but having said that, I don't exactly recall any signings from the Russian league impressing in England...

Nemanja Vidic?

Brilliant.

A Premiership version of us.

They're ****ed!

God I hope so. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I agree, maybe he's thinking it's a big step towards the England job in a few years time.

He's quoted as saying it's his chance to work for a 'big club' before he retires. lol:D

Big club my pantaloons. :D

Spurs are bigger than Portsmouth

Portsmouth are this decades Leicester, they're riding high because of Rednapp

They're also short of money £5mill for Rednapp and a leap into the unknown proves that, not that they could have hung onto Rednapp if he was determined to leave.

Good move for Tottenham and Rednapp bad move for Portsmouth - will they be able to avoid the Taylor syndrome?

Indeed. I couldn't think of anyone off the top of my head. Thought he came to Man U from Red Star Belgrade and not Spartak

£5m now, how much to be spent in January? This mess is going to cost Daniel Levy a fortune!

They've got some good players but have a huge imbalance throughout the team.

I like Harry, but feel he's bitten off more than he can chew. Another regin like Southampton :dunno:

Exactly. Whatever you say about Spurs and their current unrealistic ambitions they do actually have the facilities and money to have a pop at the top four like they did a couple of seasons ago. More so than Portsmouth anyway. Realistically Portsmouth are never going to be able to do that. Plus I imagine it's a lot easier to persuade footballers to move to London than Portsmouth.
