Ramos Sacked - Redknapp Replaces Him.

What can be said?

You think Joey Barton is better than Lassana Diarra, & Harry Redknapp should take Sol Campbell back to Tottenham

Can't take you serious :dunno::unsure:

What?! Jog on.

How am I not being serious when I say Barton is better than Diarra? When he is. :dunno: Campbell going back to Spurs would be a good move. They need a quality centre half to replace the injury prone Ledley King. And I have seen stranger things in football and they usually involve Harry Redknapp.

Spurs are such a joke. I think Redknapp is a good manager and will do well there, but the way that Levy has treated Jol and Ramos, two good managers, is appalling. He gave Ramos no chance of bringing in adequate replacements to Berbatov and Keane, and in his own selfish greed he ignored the fact that these players needed replacing.

Levy is such a creep, and I wouldn't be sorry to see Spurs go down.

What a return it would be.

Why? Joey Barton shits on Diarra.

Diarra is a worthless peice of shit. Bottled it at Chelsea and bottled it at Arsenal. Pompey is as big as it gets for him unfortunetly as he is decent player.

Worthless piece of shit? My word, that's quite the overreaction. I'm pretty sure Pompey think he's got some worth.

Shame Arsenal and Chelsea failed to see this. Arsenal couldnt see his worth and to many people they know about youth footballers and their worth.

How Joey Barton isn't in the England midfield is beyond me. What a game he had Saturday.

Exactly.

No where did I say he was good enough for Arsenal or Chelsea. I just thought calling him a worthless piece of shit was a bit over the top, that's all.

Seriously?! That's surprising...

Harry's probably attracted to the fact that most players at Spurs would be familiar with the English language

As a wise man once said: 'Follow the money. Always follow the money.'

90% of Pompeys turnover goes on the wage bill. Is that sustainable? What would the manager be asked to do in the transfer window? Why have the plans for their new 30something seater been shelved? What do Pompey need now above all else?

I was just referring to this recent thread ;)

But yes, you're obviously right. There's a reason Redknapp says that Pompey have as good a squad they'll ever have...

Brave choice.

I agree but a choice that seems pretty reasonable to me. Only time will tell, but If I was a Pompey fan I'd be rather pleased. He knows the club and the players inside out and may relish the chance to leap out of Redknapp's shadow and implement his own ideas. Obviously he has barely any managerial experience which could tell against him, but he's strong character and should be able to guide them through any potentially tough periods.

Appointing the incumbent assistant as the new manager never works out in the long term. Rob Kelly, Glenn Roeder, Sammy Lee (and I'm sure there's a lot more). Adams has no pedigree as a manager - it's all well and good knowing the players and the set up at Portsmouth, but now he's the one with his neck on the line and the one responsible for tactics so it's a completely different ball game.

Watch him fail - mark my words.
