Yep NBA season starts tonight.

Washington @ Cleveland

Boston @ Heat

Dallas @ LA Lakers

Some big names ruled out for their respective games tonight, John Wall out for Washington, Dallas missing Nowitzki and Kaman, while Bryant is touch and go for Lakers.

Tickets for the Knicks/Pistons game are out today apparently (got an email from O2 yesterday). I don't buy tickets very often so don't really know when. Will it be midnight?

Are ESPN showing live games again this season? The seasons starts tonight If I'm not mistaken and none of those games are on ESPN

Yes they are showing games, but the schedule may be wrong, because a Dallas pre season game wasn't listed down to be shown, yet ESPN showed it.

The first games on ESPN if the schedules are all correct is on the 2nd November, those games being...

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks

LA Clippers @ LA Lakers

I pay for every game online.

It's surprisingly inexpensive and fantastic.

I have considered doing this too. I wouldn't say it is inexpensive though. Considering the majority of games are played between midnight & 4am (except on sundays) & you can watch highlights of every game for free on nba.tv i think it's a little pricey-for what it is.

I bought the playoff package last season as i managed to get a decent discount on it & the shifts i was working meant that it was easy to watch 90% of the games.

Expensive? you're having a laugh.

I've just bought the package that means I can watch any of the 2500 plus regular season games AND all of the hundreds of Playoff games either live or at any time that suits me through out the season, as many times as I want for about £100 (I got the discount for coming back year after year). What's that 5 city games?

I watch every Heat game the morning after it's played unless it's the early sunday game and then I watch selected other games - mostly in the playoffs. So that's about 50p a game for me.

I'd pay £100 for the same set up just to watch Leicester's 50ish games in the season and think I was lucky.

Heat dominated, watched a bit online last night, and I think Ray Allen's first touch of the basketball in a Miami jersey against his former team, resulted in a 3 pointer, what a way to start.

Watched a bit of the opening two quarters of Washington @ Cleveland as well, Kyrie Irving will be a major handful this season, only game one but he looked absolute quality in parts.

When you put it like that it sounds pretty good. Sure it was a fair bit more than that for me though. Will have a look later.

Seems those two ESPN games are not on UK television.

Only in America which is flaming rubbish.

Watched two quarters of Oklahoma @ Spurs last night, Tim Duncan was on fire, and looking at the result this morning, it seemed a great finish with Tony Parker hitting a last second jump shot to win the game.

I know its not the same as watching it on the tv but firstrowsports will have a game on stream.

Couple of decent games on tonight too, Heat @ Knicks & Clippers @ Lakers

When is ESPN showing them in the UK? Usually they have a game on Fridays and Tuesdays iirc. They haven't shown any yet. Please tell me they haven't stopped?

Watched the Heat game in full - totally crushed them - both lakers games - haha - and the spurs game. Flicked through nearly every other game to get a feel of early season status.

Brooklyn, Knicks was postponed because of the storm but the Heat are supposed to be playing tonight. Knicks SL looks terrible - should be a stomping.

Yes been watching all my games on firstrowsports, some very good streams as well, hardly ever freeze, and all on time and never about a minute or two slow.

Will try and keep my eyes open for Clippers @ Lakers, but I doubt I will be able to.

How does everyone think the Brooklyn Nets will do this season?

Can't decide whether to carry on following the Bulls like I did last year or switch to the Nets because of the Jay-Z connection.

Really like the look of the Nets, Brook Lopez fully fit again, Johnson from Atlanta should make an impact, but all about Deron Williams he is just quality

Currently watching Heat @ Knicks, Knicks look really good, Anthony on fire while I really like the look of Raymond Felton.

A very poor game from the Celtics, losing at home to the Bucks

Taking nothing away from Milwaukee- as they looked very good

Celtics never really got going offensively and defensively there was no improvement from the Heat game

Big improvements needed for game 3. Need to get Pierce scoring again!

How did the pair of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis look?

Heat were flat without any energy.

Clippers beat the Lakers easily.

I like the Nets.
